First of all, I did this work of informing people of their rights during the times of Reagan, Bush, Bush 2, and Clinton. During Trump’s time I spent a few weeks on the border dealing with people the immigration service itself had already approved to enter the US.

Secondly, US border policy - if we can define it as that - includes the right to apply for asylum. It also includes permission to visit as a tourist, in some cases to be united with family, etc.

Third, strangely, as I noted in previous posts, US officials did not arrest, indict, detain, or even criticize me for doing so. Instead I got cooperation and letters of praise for my work. Go figure.

A college professor did a study. He had all his student take a test. Upon grading the tests he announced that in his class they would be helping lift up the grades of those struggling. The difference, which part of the debate you appear to ignore (correct me if I am wrong), is between progressive and regressive taxation. Tariffs and sales taxes are generally regressive, hitting poor folk for a larger share of their income, while federal and state taxes are generally progressive, charging the more wealthy a higher percentage of their income.

Sure I do, IMO. My moral position is to preserve the life and realized capacity of the woman. THat capacity which is already contributing to society and meaningful to loved ones, friends, and people who depend on her commitments in our society.

When all things are equal, my moral position is to minimize imposing unnecessary pain and suffering on another without their consent...every pregnancy risks a woman's life and causes a great deal of pain and suffering. The unborn suffers nothing.

Trumps tax cuts, which democrats sought to sunset, would have raised taxes on everyone more than what was expected form the tariffs at the time I made this thread. So low income would have had the largest increase since they got the biggest percentage reduction. So no matter how you now try to justify the hypocrisy, it is still hypocrisy.
