This doesn't change the fact that the "gift" of the airplane will require extensive, and expensive, work to make it appropriate for service as an Air Force One aircraft.

Nor does it change the fact trump doesn't seem willing to give up the airplane once he is no longer in office.
 
Yeah, its going to cost to make it suitable to use. The plane was "gifted" to be used as another AF1. If Trump wants to keep it as his personal aircraft that's fine - as long as he pays for it to be stripped of any equipment that was required to upgrade it, the cost it requires to do so and any other costs involved directly or indirectly..

If you're going to concern yourself with a banner costing $16,000 when we are $37 trillion in debt, then you have problems looking at what is really important.
But, on the other hand, if it's another way for anti-Trumpers to denigrate Trump, then it makes all the sense in the world.

If you are unable to say that trump should not be wasting taxpayers' monies on banners glorifying himself, then you might not be so serious about the nation's debt as you like to believe you are.

Waste in government spending is commonplace. It needs to be highlighted.
Shouldn't we be focused on spending that makes a difference instead of kvetching on minuscule items like politically slanted banners?

If a household is trying to cut back on expenses, wouldn't it logically be focused on spending that really makes a difference? Like cutting back on dining out in restaurants instead of pinching pennies spent on chewing gum?

National Guardsmen are there to obey orders.
Why would you care if they are picking up trash in D.C.?
You pick up trash around your house when you see it.

Why would you care if what he does ends up glorifying himself? Are you that envious of his wealth and popularity among the 75 million people who elected him president?
Do you often spend time criticizing reality shows on TV because you consider them wasteful?

He may be the president for three more years but will likeky only be in charge of "government" for 1 more.

Your wishful thinking could unfortunately be our reality.
And taking back the House does not mean control over the government.
The Senate control is going no where.
It means the hopeless Dems will simply mean they can impeach Trump over anything they wish. How did that turn out the last two times?
