BOWE BERGDAHL - THE "$600,000 MAN"
HOW BAM AND HAGEL PLAN TO "SPIN"
STORY ARMY DESERTER JUST A POOR,
MISUNDERSTOOD LAD WHO "WANDERED
OFF" BUT INTENDED TO COME BACK
"LIKE BEFORE" - WILL PUSH FOR "POW"
STATUS SO DOUBLE BACK PAY CAN BE
DOLED OUT - TRY TO TAKE STINK OFF
"BAD TRADE" OF FIVE TOP TALIBAN
KILLERS IN EXCHANGE FOR ENLISTED
MAN - BERGDAHL COULD SCORE $1 MILLION
OR MORE FROM BOOK AND MOVIE DEALS

You can take this to the bank.

When Barak Hussein Obama pulled off the terrible trade - five top Taliban killers released from Gitmo for an Army enlisted soldier - he figured it would get his latest scandal off the front pages.

The Benghazi cover-up and lies, "Fast and Furious," IRS abuses against political conservatives, an invasion of illegals at the border, and widespread mismanagement and corruption at the VA, BAM had to get these troubles off the TV and newspaper front pages around the nation.

Don't you folks know this is Obama's "hope and change," and the "most transparent administration in history?" Yeah, right.

Well, anyway, here's the scoop on how Bowe Bergdahl is going to end up a very wealthy man.

LOTS OF MONEY ON THE HORIZON

The sergeant E-5 (promoted twice, almost three times, while in "captivity"), stands to haul down $300,000 in back pay and "bennies" if Chuck Hagel and the "commander-in-chief" succeed in painting him as a legitimate "prisoner-of-war," instead of a wacko private who deserted his post in a combat zone and went looking for the bad guys - the Taliban.

BAM and the Pentagon didn't count on at least eight of Bergdahl's former unit members - including his NCO supervisor - coming forward (despite efforts to muzzle them by making the GI's sign non-disclosure statements) and revealing Bergdahl "walked away" and deserted his post in Afghanistan.

Doesn't look good, does it? Five important Taliban prisoners, each with blood on their hands, being sprung for an American deserter?

PRETEND HE'S NOT A DESERTER - SGT IS
A "PRISONER-OF-WAR" - DIDN'T YOU KNOW?

We don't think Obama will allow that contrast to stand. Note that he and his flunkie Hagel keep referring to Bergdahl as a "prisoner-of-war." That's the tip-off that the Army "investigation" will result in a whitewash. Certainly, if there is a court-martial for desertion - some press reports have Bergdahl walking around with a weapon, taking "target practice" with an AK-47 with his "captors" and playing soccer with the Taliban.

Already we've heard tales from the White House that Bergdahl tried to "escape" several times and was beaten, that the Taliban kept him in a cage. We've been told that the poor lad wasn't all that bright and didn't realize what he was doing when he skipped out on his Army buddies and, in a village outside the wire, asked to be taken to the Taliban.

Increased and far more accurate attacks on his deserted outpost right after he left - that would stink in the nostrils of most combat veterans if they knew that, so the Obama "spin-machine" and his "mainstream media" allies have their work cut out for themselves. .

OUR "CRYSTAL BALL" A BIT CLOUDY

Predicting things - like the sudden crumbling of Iraq - is a tricky business. We don't want to climb out too far on a limb here, but if past behavior is any guide, the Pentagon will portray Bergdahl as anything but a deserter.

We should pity him, they'll say. What he did will be downplayed, despite the fact if everyone in uniform knew they could do that and get away with it, it'd destroy discipline and undermine morale in all American fighting units.

Look for a final result of any court action being Bergdahl found guilty of being AWOL, not the more serious offense of desertion. Collaboration, if any, with the enemy - no way will it even go there.

COULD RAKE IN AT LEAST ONE MILLION DOLLARS

The guys father is a stalker and despite that if that would have been my wife Da Prez had his arm around I would have waited until I was sure the camera were on and then ripped his arm off her telling "him to keep you filthy hands of my wife".

If Clinton had been president his arm probably wouldn't have been around her waist. ;)

Berdahl isn't going to be charged much less convicted, of anything.

Maybe they can find a video to blame.

That was a weird look to see the prez walking with a woman like they were on a date.

Personally, I am keeping all of the opinions on his being a "deserter" on the back-burner until we learn his side of the story, and a complete non-bias investigation.

One thing I have learned is that military commanders will often skew investigations to make themselves look good, at the expense of the enlisted members.

And for those who think I am kidding, I still remember the death of LCpl Jason Rother in 1988. Left in the desert at 29 Palms as a road guard, his command did not even realize he was missing for 2 days.

The initial Command Investigation returned a finding that laid the blame on 2 NCOs, and nobody else. The Commandant read the report, and found it impossible to accept that a Marine died in a stupid way on a training exercise, and not a single Officer was to blame. He ordered his own investigation, and the OIC of the detail was court-martialed and booted from the Corps, and the Commander and XO were both relieved.

I am not saying he is innocent, I am not saying he is guilty. I simply do not think all of the facts are known, and will withhold and decisions until we learn more about what happened.

Comon guys - don't be so hard on the guy! So he walked off his post.... knowingly... possibly drunk looking for the Taliban. Once he's pardoned or said to be mentally unable to be charged with any UCMJ wrong doing he'll get his DD-214 with a general discharge, write a book and go on the speaking circuit and make a few million. Then he can get a nice job at the DoD as an advisor and start an outreach program for future POW's. He was a means to an end to start emptying Gitmo... it's all good!

Anyone convinced?

"Writing from a Taliban “prison,” Bowe Bergdahl urged his family and his government to wait until they had all the facts before judging him for leaving his base. Then Bergdahl explained, at least in part, why he left his fellow troops in 2009.

“Leadership was lacking, if not non-existent. The conditions were bad and looked to be getting worse for the men that where actuly (sic) the ones risking thier (sic) lives from attack,” he writes in a letter dated March 23, 2013 and obtained by The Daily Beast. It’s one of two letters sent by Bergdahl to his parents during his five years held by the Taliban-allied Haqqani Network in the tribal region of Pakistan.

“If this letter makes it to the U.S.A., tell those involved in the investigation that there are more sides to the cittuwation (sic),” he adds. “Please tell D.C. to wait for all evadince (sic) to come in.”

Bergdahl Explains in Prison Letters Why He Vanished - The Daily Beast

"While another unit was setting up a night ambush in the mountains, an MRAP – the $1.5 million armored vehicle designed to protect soldiers from the roadside bombs being used by the Taliban – got hit with an IED. Bowe's platoon was deployed to escort a tow truck to get it down off the mountain. But on the way to escort the truck, an MRAP in Bowe's own platoon was hit by an IED. The unit found itself stuck in the mountains for four days, guarding the wreckage while their commanders debated whether to fly in the parts needed to fix the vehicles. Some of the time, Bowe wrote his family, was spent near a village that "was not too friendly to Americans" because it had been attacked by the Taliban. "So the elders were telling us to leave," he reported, "because the taliban was there, and we couldn't leave because command finely decided that they would fly in the parts (one MRAP needing a new engine) and would rebuild the MRAPs up there."

Is 5 days to replace an MRAP engine in the mountains of Afghanistan too long? Seems reasonable to me. The patrol could have stayed in MRAPs and been safe.

Probably other soldiers were complaining, but Bo Bergdahl took the ideas as serious complaints.

Can Bo Bergdahl justify desertion with 5 days to replace an MRAP engine?

And that letter was written over 4 years after he became a POW.

After 4 years under condition like that a POW will often write almost anything. I am sure if they had ordered him to write a letter saying he was Captain America and ate Taliban babies for breakfast, he would have done so.
