I don't know.


My home theater consists of 4 adcom amps, and a b&W powered subwoofer for its power.... Never bothered to look that crap up as its pointless...

true. in fact the major difference is not in loudness but in ability of my system to hit the lowest notes without any distortion.

I do like feeling the bass in my chest. :mrgreen:

you only need response down to 40 - 50 hz or so ( but very loud ) to have that feeling. that's what dance club systems are like.

recording studio systems are not as loud but go lower to about 20 hz.

my system is more like one from a recording studio than one from a dance club. it emphasizes accuracy over loudness.

of course ideally i would like to have recording studio accuracy AND dance club loudness but that is very difficult to achieve. someday ...
