How many of you have had this spam hit you in PRIVATE MESSAGE?

Just ran across this thread. I got the PM too which struck me as very odd as I have been pretty inactive the last several months, so why would she pick on me? And now I see she didn't pick on me. Probably a better question would be who DIDN'T get this PM, and what means is used to send it to every member at DP simultaneously? That's a little scary.

I did click on the link - site wouldn't open. Probably because all the other DP members had it jammed.

P.S. I wonder, however, if this is why I can no longer enter DP through the normal log in page any more? It shows that I'm not logged in and won't let me log in there. But if I go to another page, I'm logged in. But seems like this phenomenon was happening before the PM. I dunno. It's mildly annoying thought.

It's not just you. Same thing happens to me and a few others as well. It should have been fixed with the forum upgrade vauge just did, but there are apparantly still some bugs. I'll let him know that I'm not the only one still experiencing the problem. And yes, it started happening long before this PM fiasco.

I did-didn't open the link-killed it

I just got a response from the email I sent to Pavlina ... they say this:

okay ....

Hmm. Well, we don't know this person and it is always risky to judge without evidence. But I find his/her/their--I suppose Steve is a guy? :2razz:--'explanation' to be a bit hollow to be convincing. Of course when a practical joke or act of maliscious mischief backfires, nobody seems to want to fess up. Always easier to blame a mysterious somebody else.

Here's the reply I got:

The guy is probably sincere, but why would someone play a prank by spamming some random guy's website.
