How many lies can you tolerate? (2 Viewers)

If he attempted a self coup the first time, why should I trust him to leave office this time?

Does this say

Trump succeeded making "the country healthier and better able to deal with its strong enemies"?

Or

Trump has convinced "the public he has a plan" to make the country healthier etc etc?
To your first question: I will rely on the U.S. Constitution to prevent him from doing what the vast majority does not want him to do.

And to your other questions: It's a work in progress.

Far too early to tell. It may be years before anybody knows the total breadth and depth of Trump's **** ups. But in aggregate, they're likely to be nothing short of catastrophic.

With all the damage to the NIH, FDA, CDC, USDA, DofA, et al, DOGE's actions might directly lead to the poisoning of thousands and widespread disease.
With all the damage to USAID, it might lead to another global pandemic.
With all the damage to science and basic medical research in our finest universities, who knows what kind of important, possibly lifesaving discoveries have been kicked down the road?
With all the damage to NOAA, NWS, DOE, et al, it could cost lives by compromising preparedness for catastrophic weather, including flood, tornado and hurricane warnings.
With all the damage to the EPA, the cost of human life through unregulated pollution is likely to be staggering, and not entirely known for generations.
With all the damage to the FAA, who knows what kind of air traffic accidents await us? Trump has already set a record for airplane accidents in his first three months in office! 20% of the ATC's at Newark Airport have already staged a job action. You don't think airline safety has been compromised?

And these are just the broad strokes. If I wanted to waste my time educating you, I could go into much greater detail, but I know better than to bother with your edification.

There's no way to know.

As far as you know, not yet. If it has affected any of your family members, then it has affected you.

What an archetype of the "I've got mine, good luck getting yours" right wing ruling class attitude. Marie Antoinette would be so proud.
"Awww - the working poor have no bread? Well ... let them eat cake!"
Nice work , Mambo

No one can top your pessimism given tariffs have not cut in yet; the economy is still sound; unemployment is still around 4 percent; trade deals are in progress; none of the so-called 'damage' you have forecast has happened yet.
You are the top Chicken Little:

The truth is that you libs love Trump because he gives you an excuse to engage in your own misbehavior and dishonesty.

He is perfect for comedians!

It's a loose connection to me since I don't accept excuses and I don't make them.
I don't condone retribution or violence, lawlessness. I think it's wrong to lie to the public. Personally I don't misbehave either so I don't need an excuse and that's no love for trump.

It's ok to say all politicians lie so we must accept it?? Y or N , other... Would Yes mean trump's lies are ok?

To your first question: I will rely on the U.S. Constitution to prevent him from doing what the vast majority does not want him to do.

Well I'm glad we agree on that but I'm just not sure trump does.

And to your other questions: It's a work in progress.

Are you sure this isn't improv night at the WH? I get it mixed up with amateur hour every Friday.

No surprise that you failed to rebut even a single point in my post.

He appears to have been able to line his pockets rather well
I don't really consider fooling idiots to be "success". He's always been a grifter, he just has a plethora of willing victims. Sad, really.

What projects do you speak of? You do realize that trillions is the order of magnitude of the entire US gross domestic product right? There is literally no way in hell people have committed that amount of money, let alone in 100 days. It's a lie.
Fantasies, lies... potato, potahto. MAGAnaughts can't tell the difference and expect you to accept bullshit as "truth". After all, they do.

It is well-established (in the real world) that Trump is an inveterate liar. It appears that the most bizarre and vicious lies have been directed to his supporters. He said he would reduce prices; he said he'd tame inflation; he said that Wall street would boom; he said he would target criminal immigrants; he said he loved you. Those were all (pretty obvious) lies. My genuine question: at what point will you say it is too many? How much deception can you tolerate?
While I agree that Trump lies in an over the top manner, the examples you list seem to be normal political promises, albeit foolish ones in most cases.

From what I saw, your points were all speculation and his comments put a good spotlight on that.

With respect, I disagree. This wasn't a case of "gilding the lily" - or exaggeration - which is somewhat expected, but deliberate mendacity, with no intention of even attempting to follow through. There is a difference.

I would hope that if Trump refused to leave the White House, President Vance could politely ask him to leave or at least move into one of the guest bedrooms.

Trump's lies are NOT OK. It's just that he can't be thrown in jail for stretching or obliterating the truth.
But it is amazing how many millions of people are gullible and naive to take seriously what he says.
That's why I have to mute the TV when he speaks to the camera. I can't stand his voice. And I can always read the Wall St Journal the next morning to find out if he said anything credible.

I can't account for your faulty viewpoint. The context of my content dealt with impacts to the health, safety and well being of Americans. Employment statistics, and how "the markets" are doing, didn't put any spotlight on those. As for what amounts to "speculation", I can certainly project a line to its logical horizon. Unlike Trump and his legions of loonies, I am not myopic. When you remove all the guardrails on a steep and serpentine road, it doesn't take a "stable genius" to know that cars will eventually run over the cliff, because the guardrails were designed and built to prevent exactly that.

🤷‍♂️

Are there any particular guard rails you want us to pay attention to? Or are you predicting Trump is going to knock all of them down in order to get his own way?
Your statement above could be very scary to many anti-Trumpers who believe he wants to take over the world and maybe even become the Pope (I saw the picture).

And what about those cabinet meetings where the not necessarily best and brightest fill the room with accolades rendered to their boss in his presence?
What in the ****? This is the American government? That is the most disgusting display of groveling imaginable.

Thanks for directing me to your post #65 which detailed a bunch of speculative predictions which mean nothing. That's why you won last week's "Chicken Little the Sky is Falling" award.
You're an alarmist just like the Leftist press spelling gloom and doom for anyone who chooses to hate Trump. And that's a lot of you.

So, if it's only HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS it's no big deal? Point is huge sums of money is being activated on projects here in the US

Where is the evidence of even hundreds of billions?

The point is people accept this shit without thought

See if you can connect the dots enough to allow a clearer image to appear. If you can't do that, then I can't help you. I can only persist in correcting you.
Sorry ...

You probably need to persist in correcting me.
If there is some useful message in your posts, I hope to find it soon.
The guardrails on your dangerous highway are there because the Constitution is strong and has served us well for over 230 years. I have more confident in those guardrails than you do.

Apparently.

As suspected, your grasp has fallen far short of your reach. The CDC IS a guardrail. The NIH IS a guardrail. The FDA IS a guardrail. The EPA IS a guardrail. The USGS IS a guardrail. NOAA IS a guardrail. USAID IS a guardrail. The IRS IS a guardrail. The FAA IS a guardrail. The USDA IS a guardrail. Etc., etc., etc. Get it? Every time you reduce their budget and their workforce, you remove more guardrails.

All of the Inspectors General fired by Trump WERE guardrails!
Capiche?

I understand. But I put false promises by pols — in Trump’s case often coming from his ignorance of how things work or his tendency towards believing he can act as a dictator— in a different category than outright lies about facts. But in his case, he promises and lies effortlessly. My fave, not really as important as telling, involved both ignorance and ego: he said he had the greatest EC victory in 2016 since Reagan. False. When pointed out that was wrong, he revised, saying it was the greatest republican EC victory since Reagan. Also wrong. Impressive is how easily he revised his falsehoods. Depressing (and in some ways a warning about how he rolls) was his sharpie revision of the hurricane map. Trump apparently is incapable of saying “Oops!,” not even getting it that the hurricane mistake would be easily forgiven by the public, and how worrisome his actions in this case might be for what it says about his character. This is the guy who said he didn’t ask God for forgiveness.
