You do realize that there are millions of American's that actually DO work in fields, pick fruit from trees, clean hotel rooms and mow grass right? There is only one category in which illegal aliens have a majority of workers in and that is agriculture work. But even then they only make up, iirc, roughly 55% of the work force. All other work categories American's and those in the US legally make up the majority.

Illegal aliens don't take jobs away from Americans. The employer took the job away, and gave it to an illegal alien.
Listen- illegal aliens are being lured into your country by people who make big bucks off cheap labour. They didn't wade across a river to get there either, mostly- they walked or drove up to a customs and immigration point, said they were going shopping or visiting friends or family or just going on a vacation, and once in they just stayed. Because some greedy bastard gave them a job. That's why nothing will ever be done about it. Too much money is being made. Build a wall? Hooray! Gonna cost billions and won't make a bit of difference, but it'll make the Trumpers clap and cheer.

I work in the construction trades and do lawn maintenance jobs as a self-employed handyman. It is not so much that I cannot find work but that the labor rates I charge can be (and often are) beaten by 'undocumented' competition. It is a waste of my time to give estimates and/or place bids on work that I will never get.
