Personally, I'm sick of it. I've been sick of the lies for a long long time. Ignorance doesn't get you an innocent verdict in court, and neither ignorance nor stupidity should get you off the hook in the new American era of domestic terror.

I haven't enjoyed the farcical attempts of trump to pretend to know what he is doing for the last several years, but until recently I kept my mouth shut and didn't involve myself in political forums.

Some may disagree, but I feel I've been somewhat tolerant of reasonable views that opposed mine until January 6, 2021.

The only reason I'm posting this is that I sat in the waiting room of my dentists office today and a random gentlemen decided he wanted to speak to me. He obviously couldn't speak with a mask on, so he took his mask off to begin justifying the terrorist activities of 1/6/21 when all I was doing was watching some Flip/Flop show on TV. I explained to him that he should put his mask back on inside this private enterprise and that I now considered Trump supporters to be anarchists and terrorists. Short conversation for sure, but I'm just not gonna be nice and sit their and listen to stupid anymore.

Most of us have similar stories to tell. I got into it when an asshole came into a convenience store without wearing a mask and he was coughing his ass off. We went at it face to face , belly to belly until store personnel separated us.

Trump has ruined marriages and lifetime friendships across this country. I no longer speak to 3 life long friends who think this guy is God.

Collateral damage simply put is immeasurable.

Making blanket statements about Trump supporters being anarchists, terrorists, racists, idiots, etc. isn't justified, and the people who make them are in part responsible for Trump supporters not being very receptive about our feelings on issues like mask wearing.

So my answer to your poll is: none of the above. I will continue calling out Trump supporters who spew anti-mask nonsense and believe what happened at the Capitol was justified, but I'll do it on a case-by-case basis and won't make blanket statements about them.

i don't consider all TPFKAT supporters to be terrorists, because that's dumb. however, i did watch videos of some of them being kicked off of planes so that they could be questioned about their insurrection. according to the person who posted the video, they were found because they took their phones inside the Capitol Building while insurrecting, and it has its own cellular network. oops.

You’ll be a lot more likely to get honest responses when you don’t start from a position of hate or condemnation. To use your example of wearing masks, personally, I’m not anti mask at all. I won’t wear one to walk my dog or anything stupid like that and I don’t care if someone does or doesn’t have a mask when talking to me but when I know I will be interacting with other humans, even if it’s just to go through a drive through, I’ll put it on. If nothing else, maybe it makes the other person feel more comfortable.

For hysterical mask fetish dipwads that think any person breathing within 6 feet of them is, basically, attempted murder, I’m perfectly content to let them think that I won’t wear a mask in any situation and I only hope I give them nightmares.

As a friend here used to tell me frequently, presentation is everything.

nope, it depends on how bad Biden screws up and stuff beyond his control. If he does a really good job, the Dems probably won't lose the house and may keep the senate. If Biden does an OK job, the GOP will probably win both back. If Biden does a mediocre job, the GOP will most likely do really well. If the Dems spend the first couple months trying to slake their Trump hate, rather than trying to get the vaccine distributed ASAP, then the Dems will be harmed in the midterms. Remember, how many times has a president increased seats in his first midterm election-once I can remember and that was after 9-11
