I think you and most democrats fail to see why Trump was elected. The view out among the masses is Biden, his administration has done a very poor job of governing. His overall job approval was at 41% on election day, 56% of all Americans disapproving of the way he handled his job. 55-65% disapproving of his handling of most issues. This disapproval, dissatisfaction with the way things were going is what led to Trump’s election.

From 1972 until 2008 when Obama won college grads, they were all republican. Romney won the college grads in 2012, then Clinton, Biden and Harris followed winning them. As for the working class, blue collar workers, since 1972 the democrats won them every election except in 1980, 84 and lost them this year to Trump.

I can remember when the democratic party was known as the big tent party, the working man’s party. The GOP as the country club party or the party of the businessman. Seems we had a role reversal in who the parties attract over the last few elections. There are other groups that since 2000 have switched parties. It seems through your response the democratic party today has become the republican party pre-2000 while the republicans have become the democratic party since that time in who their voters are.
