I think you and most democrats fail to see why Trump was elected. The view out among the masses is Biden, his administration has done a very poor job of governing. His overall job approval was at 41% on election day, 56% of all Americans disapproving of the way he handled his job. 55-65% disapproving of his handling of most issues. This disapproval, dissatisfaction with the way things were going is what led to Trump’s election.

Throw in the fact 63% of all Americans thought Biden had this country headed in the wrong direction, off on the wrong track. There was a need for change feeling out there among the masses.

Everyone knew Trump lies, that he was convicted, that he has an obnoxious, uncouth, rude personality. That he was also deemed a failure after his first term in office which the masses rejected him in 2020. But for the most part, a lot of Americans even with all of Trump’s flaws felt they were better off under Trump than under Biden and his administration. Hence, change was needed. Even if that meant bringing back a past failure to replace the current failure. Even with all the baggage Trump brings with him. A very poor job performance doomed the democrats, Trump’s election is just this simple.
