how is banning trans people from military service not discrimination

We don't let people with mental health problems like gender dysphoria serve in the military.

I suppose that would technically be discrimination.

There are people in the military with diagnosed depression and anxiety, not to mention PTSD. You’re ****ing lying.

Lost fight, identity politics as a winning political formula is not coming back anytime soon.

You are dealing with a medical condition that makes people non-deployable. Same as bipolar disorder and other physical and mental conditions. Ever service member should be deployable.

Not every trans person would be undeployable, and the simple fact is that there are non-deployable soldiers. Do we kick all of them out? No, but you hate trans people, so you are okay with discrimination against them.

Nothing says “white liberal moderate” more than abandoning civil rights fights in the name of political expediency.

I don’t hate them. But I know that you like to assign motives to people you know nothing about.

Bottom line is that all non-deployable personnel should be separated.

The senior leadership in the military, the actual experts, disagree.

Why would you separate a non-deployable drone pilot? Or doctor? Or intelligence analyst? You are just wasting all the money spent to train them when they are in a position that has plenty of roles in the US.

You going to waste everyone's time again pretending transgenders are today's version of yesterday's civil rights movement?

Trans rights are civil and human rights. The Left fights for those. The center will abandon them if it’s not politically convenient.

And there are people in the military who are trans. They just don't expect the military to share their delusions. At least not anymore.

Pray tell, what does Psychiatry say about being trans? Do they say they are “delusional”?

Where did you get your doctorate in Psychiatry?

If you insist you are a gender that you are not, you are suffering from a delusion. Whether you admit it or not.

Not at all, but tell yourself anything you need to... on the way to a repeat of 2024.

Is that what Psychiatrists say about trans people?

So you don’t advocate for dropping support for trans rights in the name of political power?

You made the assertion, I do not have to defend whatever you make up.

Pregnancy is a medical problem that makes people no-deployable. Are you saying that women shouldn't be allowed to join the military?

It is discrimination. Recall the argument made against gay people serving: that it would harm 'unit cohesion' and 'troop readiness'.

Pregnancy ends after 9 months.

BTW, pregnancy has been a major issue for military units. Pregnant females cannot deploy but they do not get replaced. Therefore units end up deploying short of personnel and may be short of critical skill sets. In addition, I know of multiple cases of females trying to get pregnant before deployment in order to avoid it or early in deployment in order to come home early. There is no way that you can deny that behavior like that is not detrimental to a units cohesion.

That isn't a good strategy. These non-deployable service members fill the roles at the home front that would otherwise be filled by deployable soldiers who we might need in a major conflict. Plus, you can be non-deployable because of a tooth cavity. Should that person be separated?

That's not according to psychologists and other medical professionals.

Besides your anecdotal evidence of problems with women in the military, you do realize that recovery from GCS takes less time right? I think the longest is about 6 months if I remember the last time I looked at a RAND report.

And the need for continual hormone treatments for the rest of your life? Should we be shipping hormone pills or ammo to the front lines?

You mean like how we already do with medicine? Better question, do you know the different kind of HRT there is and how it is administered?

Didn't read it? What post did I quote? What was that post about?
I read it. You posted in a thread about military expenditures for lgbtq expenses. And tgen
Posted about conversion therapy expenses for lgbtq people.
