How do you remember 1/6?

I remember it as the day a large group of leftist shitheads that claimed that 532 riots across the nation were mostly peaceful protests...but then began and continue to collectively shit themselves over Jan 6...because...welll...THOSE people were republicans.

I fully agree that anyone that committed an act of violence on January 6 should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows.

But then...I also feel the same way about the leftist shitheads that burned down cities across the country.

Check into the difference between a riot and an insurection.

That's right! You can't be a rich man and enter the kingdom of heaven. 🤔

It was because welll...That WAS THE CAPITAL OF THE UNITED STATES AND OUR ELECTION PROCESS.

The motive and the location matter big time.

At BEST....at ABSOLUTE BEST....the only POSSIBLE outcome of January 6 MIGHT have been a delay in affirmation...not an overthrow of the government or even a delay in the inauguration.

Meanwhile, dead cops, dead civilians, burned buildings, city blocks destroyed..........that was all just peaceful protests......

You 'people' are a ****ing crack up.

Yeah. That delay is unacceptable.

I was listening to NPR when I first heard of the violent attack in DC, and also followed events online (no television). I remember being furious that Trump & Co. had brought the country to this point, and that his followers took up violence on behalf of a narcissistic charlatan.

I also remembered what I had predicted in Spring 2017 — Donald Trump would not walk away from the presidency without trying to bring the country down with him.

Trump & Co. have been a curse on the country.

With the misinformation you have gathered I'm sure everything's a crack up. I don't know anyone who thought the rioters were peacefully protesting. Just the peaceful protesters, but, there's no comparison to be made.

Riots are never a good thing. They happen at protests, and after sports games on occasion.

The people breaking into the capital where there to prevent Biden's presidential seat, and hunting down members of our government during active commencement.

Now, you can compare the violence during BLM protests to what happens after a football win or a workers march. Some loonies go overboard and wreak cars, burn and loot. But you can't compare what happened at our Capital. It's not the same.

I get that those insurrectionists felt that minorities were taking over America but that's not why they were there. They were there to fight Biden's seat as president. That's what insurrections do. They actively called out and hunted down members of our congress. Totally different and very serious.

Democracy (in the form of certifying the EC vote) was put on hold for a few hours of rioting, but prevailed soon after.
and for a year, hysterics from the Talibiden. Biden has been having hyperbolegasms over this

A riot is when liberals protest.

An insurection is when republicans protest.
Perhaps look up the actual difference between the words.

Nothing I said was misinformation. But seriously....coming from someone like yourself that just blindly lines up at the leftist trough and swallows everything that is put in your mouth...its kinda hilarious seeing your comments.

Navarro and others thought otherwise.

No tv, and I think I heard about it in a thread here. I was late to the game, tried catching up and following on line. I remember Trump's speech telling them to go home. I stayed up all night with Congress and watched the debate of objections on Cspan. I didn't go to bed until the votes had all been certified.

What was the tv coverage like that afternoon? I've seen so many images after the fact, but were we seeing what was happening inside the Capitol in real time? Were there commentators rushing around trying to figure out why it was taking so long to get the Guard there? Was there any reporting from the WH? I've always wondered what the coverage was like. I could have turned on the radio and listened to NPR, but I didn't think of it.

This is really your response?

You know a lot about me for not knowing me at all. I'm not the one shooting out FB rhetoric and Fox news one liners. That would be you.

I remember it not as a low point, but as a high point. Enemies of our government failed in their bid to stop our government from operating. After storming The Capitol, threatening to kill the Vice President, going through sensitive documents, injuring police, they still failed.

The mob was a small part of the coup attempt. It was not expected to do much more than it did. The coup was about many other things involving the corruption of officials to steal the election. Hundreds of officials were corrupt and part of the coup, mostly legislators, and others were not, mostly election officials.

Couldnt give a ****. Whatever they 'think' or thought was wrong. Its rather comical how fragile people like you think this countries government is.

Scratch that...I dont think you actually believe the shit you 'people' are swallowing and regurgitating regarding 1/6. Im pretty sure you know its just mindless partisan drivel that the left will try to cling to for the next 3 years because they damn sure cant count on their leader and party to sustain them in the 2022 and 2024 elections.

That somehow managed to kill 5 and injure 142 police.

Makes Kent State look like a peaceful kegger party gone a bit awry.

Right. A keg party that set the ROTC building on fire and terrorized the town of Kent.

I remember it as a good example of crowd psychology. A large portion of those involved never imagined they would do that, and yet they did, swept up with the crowd, and probably manipulated by a few.

Redress, I've been saying that, as well

There are all kinds of ways that individuals in crowds can find themselves doing things they'd never do otherwise. A few weeks ago, I gave an example of a friend of mine who, at an exciting football game, found himself and his wife yelling obscene chants with the rest of the crowd--words that's they'd never have said otherwise. Also, when the ill-fated hostage rescue attempt took place in Iran years ago, part of the plan was to use crowd psychology to get the crowds to move away from the front of the embassy. The military said that was actually the easiest part of the plan.

I'm NOT saying that the crowd psychology angle should be used as an excuse for some of the rioters. But maybe it should be taken under consideration during the sentencing phrase. At any rate, I do believe it was a factor during the riot.
