So as China takes Canadian prisoners, the US wiil try her or let her plea then fine her and cut her loose. Then she will continue doing it at China’s direction. As the USA tries her, I wonder what they will do. Jail US visiting executives and trade technology secrets for release?

Sounds like fun a’ comin!

A "China First" policy. Who woulda' thunk it? "America First." Does it sound familiar and make all USA Corps/Companies spies? Wake up.

All of our bets on China have been wrong

All of our bets on China have been wrong - Asia Times

I've said it countless times before, here on DP and elsewhere:
If we piss China off enough, they won't start any shooting war, they'll just commence a five year internal austerity plan that calls for a nationwide sacrifice "for the good of all China" and inform the wealthy Chinese elites that they are not to invest in any US ventures for the duration, and they will slowly and methodically put the brakes on all US manufacturing, and institute rolling sanctions.

Wal-Mart will fall first, you can guess the rest.
The Chinese will "Party like it's 1949" for a while, just long enough to knock our collective dicks in the dirt.
Meanwhile, Chinese investments in their new Silk Road to the rest of the world will continue apace, and we will be rendered irrelevant.
Time flows differently for a six thousand year old society with a strong and unbroken sense of history.
To the Chinese, the United States is a tiny blip on their timeline, the smallest fraction of a millennium.

And make no mistake about it, Chinese think in millennial terms, and they take the long-term approach when they see fit to do so.
Our markets live and die on what happens in the next quarter.
