More great news for Americans, and a brilliant Midterm gambit, as well.

Oh, and before the DP left start trying to pretend that they actually care about the deficit...TAX REVENNUES ARE UP since the tax cuts...SPENDING remains the budget problem.

Tax cuts INCREASE TAX REVENUES nationally, without fail...and INCREAING TAX REVENUES, does not contribute to increasing the deficit.

House Republicans propose more tax cuts as elections near

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to unveil another round of tax cuts this week, hoping to draw a sharp contrast between themselves and Democrats ahead of the Nov. 6 congressional elections.

Republican lawmakers and strategists say a new tax debate should amplify the party's upbeat economic message, touting a report by the nonpartisan Tax Foundation that forecast the creation of 1.5 million jobs and wage increases if individual tax cuts in last year's tax reform bill were made permanent.

"Anytime we're talking about tax cuts and the growing economy, we're winning," said Matt Gorman, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, the party's main campaign support for House Republican candidates.

I'm all for proposed tax cuts, but not when it's only purpose is to influence voters. I see this current proposal as just one more reason to drain the swamp.

Hey look at that... Republicans want to add more to deficits and debt. Anyone else surprised?

Receipts in April from the CY17 tax code are the only thing propping this up.

Not all voters are can be paid off, some of us appreciate integrity in a CIC. If the GOP will not hold Trump accountable, I will elect someone who will.

when will politicians finally do the right thing and raise taxes!

somehow we have to pay the bills

When Obama was.president i remember the republicans screaming about deficits. they had all kinds of opportunities to cut the federal budget. in the end actually they did little to cut federal spending even after sequester

now with trump no complaints about trillion dollar deficits from the same people that harangued Obama continuous

Tax cuts work without fail.
We should cut taxes down to zero percent or even a negative percent to really, really stimulate tax revenues.

wcgw w/ governing by bumper sitcker platitude?

dems are in no position whatsoever to speak about debt and deficit until you pay back obamas historic debt. We told you all this when he was President. Now suddenly you guys know how to operate calculators and checkbooks.

I am not a Dem, and try again... my dislike for how much we spend, on what, why, and in relation to taxation is well documented... and applied to both parties.

Actually, when Obama was President, there was no opportunity to cut the federal budget since neither the Democrats nor the Republicans were really serious about such a notion. Oh...they did a lot of political posturing and government shutdown nonsense, but there was no serious effort by anyone...Republicans, Democrats or Obama, himself, to reduce spending.

Even now, when Trump has proposed ways to reduce spending, neither Party is interested. The best Trump has been able to get from Congress is the tax cuts. Maybe next year...

Those tax cuts are a budget disaster. I thought republicans were the party of balanced budgets

So you agree with the premise of my post then. Yes or no?

Until you are specific, then no (and yes that is encouraging you to talk about economics and drop the hyper-partisanship.)

no. Ill read it when Obamas debt is paid back. Until then you guys have no basis to spout off about anything financial.

but as a blind and brainwashed rightie trump supporter not a word about dick and jr who dug the hole that Obama pulled us out of.

and now we have another republican president and GOP congress driving right down that same path again.

If SPENDING remains the 'budget' problem then why are republicants instead messing around with TAXATION?

The answer is that they dare not cut federal spending or their campaign cash flow will suffer. There is simply no federal spending that does not benefit somebody or it would have been cut long ago.

The bottom line is that the federal government spends at over 20% of GDP and only dares to tax at around 18% (or less) of GDP, Under that insane 'budget' system then no matter how much our GDP grows then so does the federal deficit/national debt.

EDIT: So let's look at current federal spending. If congess managed to grow a pair and cut ALL non-defense discretionary spending it would still not balance the 'budget'.

I think we have to pay off the Bush debt first. Until then you guys have no basis to spout off about anything financial.

Electing a Russian asset president isn't enough for you. You want to bankrupt America, too.

This is bribery for the myrmidons. Fiscal conservatives should be blasting the lack of priority toward our deficit and ultimately our debt. May as well just cut checks to people from the IRS with a VOTE GOP heading.....

lol

i agree, but then obama called that unpatriotic and irresponsible....he then made bushs number look like a fond memory.
