House Republican Tells Fired Federal Workers ‘God Has a Plan’ in Hostile Town Hall

Not JUST Missouri, but a district carefully gerrymandered to carve out left leaning Kansas City. No doubt they have as much contempt for KC as we in Yorba Linda do for Los Angeles.

Not surprising as Yorba Linda consistently votes Republican and is the birthplace of Richard Nixon. Gerrymandering cuts both ways. It is not the monopoly of either political party.

What have you stopped Trump at?

USAID? Gone - along with all that glorious embezzled taxpayer money.

Border? Closed - no more child sex trafficking or fentanyl deliveries.

Woke Military? Utterly shut down and returning to the role of war fighters.

The forever war in Ukraine to keep the MIC rolling in money? Ending.

What exactly has the democrat party succeeded at? A couple of corrupt judges who face being overturned and impeached?

None of these things have been accomplished yet. It is all just empty talk at this stage.

Democrats fighting for wasteful government spending of taxpayer dollars. Sadly, not strange at all.

Democrats fighting for the proper use of power in government. Trump and Musk are overstepping the power that the executive branch has.

By chance are you gay or the other thing?

The only other person I've met who was so angry was a gay.

This is a very odd response. How does being gay have anything to do with being prone to anger? If that is the case, Trump and Musk might be gay. They sure get angry at anyone questioning them or their questionable actions.

He probably realizes that it is more important to read his district (4) and the rest of the state than to listen to the whiners in "the room". His district voted for him at 71%. Missouri voted for Trump at 69%. His district is a rural area that is very conservative, and very Christian. It is probably best for him to ignore a bunch of Soros funded protesters from Kansas City or Chicago. I don't think he will need your "good luck." Read the electorate.

Anyone notice how at the "town hall".......

.......there seems to be a lack the content "republicans" spew here.

Dude's a little tone deaf. Not reading the room.

Good luck to him in his next election.

Whatever.

There's going to be one less MAGA in the house in 2026.

Well, that’s going to be in the next ad run by whomever his opponent in an upcoming election is.

😂

In fact, that’s an entire campaign.

"He plans for you to be unemployed!"

I hope you don't plan on being a politician for long, bud.

ROFL

Say, didn't rather viciously demand that no way Trump would win in 2024? I seem to recall a whole lot of vitriol thrown my way for pointing out that Trump would win this - and that it would be 302-226. Didn't you call me stupid a few dozen times? I seem to recall that.

The Stalinists on this board aren't real good with their predictions.
The **** does this have to do with the story?

Missouri 4 was a democratic stronghold for a century until it’s become more conservative since 2011.

Go ahead and spit in their faces and tell them to go pray about layoffs and unemployment and kitchen table economics.

Please.
A lot has changed since the Southern Democrats were supporting slavery in the Civil War. Or maybe just since Democrat sweetheart "New Deal" FDR was putting innocent Japanese citizens in prison in Manzanar and Tule Lake, California during WWII? Or even Bill Clinton cutting 370000 Federal Jobs during his administration? They all get a pass, right?

And it's also "god's plan" that trump gives more tax cuts to the uber-rich at the same time lesser mortals (the less well-off) are punished financially.

This GOPer god sounds harsh and harkens back to the punitive god of the OT.

So much for the NT's Jesus Christ, which, theoretically, at least, is the reason for and the point of Christianity.

Hard to believe he said people who lost their jobs were "victors".

"Going to look at a larger venue for next time"
He probably has some perspective. Did you get the part where his own wife was laid off from her Federal job? There seemed to be a lot of disagreement in the room. Were all of these people opposed to the layoffs? If so, why didn't they let each other talk? No doubt the majority of the angered populace were opposed to the Administration's policies. When was the last time you went to a local political meeting to praise the politicians for doing things you agree with? Perhaps you have, but I suspect you were outnumbered.

Tone deaf MAGA **** wit removes his mouth from the taxpayer teat long enough to tell others to "buck up."

He's lucky he got out of there without literal egg on his face. Or maybe it wasn't luck at all, BECAUSE HIS MAJESTY HASN'T KEPT HIS PROMISE AND NO ONE CAN AFFORD EGGS.
Not just eggs any more.

Have you seen the prices for COFFEE???

Forget breakfast these days. The "most important meal of the day" is unaffordable.

Soros protesters? People get upset when losing their jobs. This is universal across the political spectrum. Thinking Republicans are content with being fired would make them what? Lazy?

Why would Soros go to Chicago for protestors when 29% didn't vote for Alford?

Needs more tinfoil.

🤣

I think you'll really get your point across - and prove that you really don't care what we think - if you repeat it 10-20 times, in increasingly frantic and panicked ways.

You know that outside of the radical left echo chamber of MSNBC this has no legs. It's just what the drones are programmed to meltdown about today.

I'm on the most far left message board in America. There is a bit of Schadenfreude watching the daily temper tantrums of the extreme left who just can't come to grips with the fact that the party doesn't rule the nation anymore.

Sounds like a bot.

Why do you throw snot in every post? Why do you disparage every poster you engage with? Why are you so convinced of your own brilliance?

Look, you follow me around and look to pick a fight even though I go out of my way to ignore you. Not sure what your problem is but I'll be your huckleberry if you can't let it go.

Some people seem to be here only to do that and not discuss any actual issues. Good on you to do your best to ignore them.

The Article: “Just because you have a government job doesn’t mean it’s a lifetime appointment like a Supreme Court,” Alford said at a town hall in Belton, Missouri....
Yeah, but it DOES mean that you cannot be fired without good cause. Musk could have precipitated the largest class action lawsuit in history.

The problem is he is in a heavily gerrymandered district. If he loses, it will be to an even bigger nutjob to his right.
"Heavily gerrymandered district", do you have a basis for that statement, since there are non-partisan groups that study this that rank Missouri with an A grade:
