House is in session to vote on a bill that would codify that Americans have the right to buy AND USE contraception.

This is just a gimmick to make voters think Republicans are that crazy. The Dems sure as hell can't run on their accomplishments, so they come up with crap like this. Honest to God, I don't know why anyone would vote for these incompetent scam artists.

HUGE psychological projection.

Nice stab at gaslighting. Blaming Democrats for the Republicans and their policies.

"Don't be a Chicken Little. It's all a show. We would never."
- Supporters of people who first threw out Roe in the name of theocracy and patriarchy, and who have now all but 8 voted against protecting contraception rights.

Now why would someone vote against protecting contraception rights if they don't want contraception to be gone after? Why would anyone in their right mind trust assurances from Trumpists that they aren't coming for contraception, too? Hell, Thomas said the quiet part out loud in Dobbs. He's gunning directly at it.

Because the crafty Dems put the abortion pill in with the actual contraceptives.
Guaranteed outcome
You know, like the 1/6 BS.

Tell us Dr. Grand Pappy what specifically is the "abortion pill" that you are referring to.
And where exactly is it contained in the legislation?

I wonder if contraception could be seen as a right under the 2A. After all, a condom and a gun can both stop a life.

What's wrong with putting those mother ****ers on the record?

The sad fact is this sneaky trick crap is all the Dems have. As I said before, they damn sure can't run on their accomplishments.

What sneaky trick? Conservatives are free to vote for the bill

Is that pill in the bill? (I don't care what Cathy McMorris Rogers says)

Haha. Well I don't trust what Adam Schiff says. So we're even.

Why would she lie? Too easy to check.

Because she's a republican? I can't find anyplace that says this bill covers the abortion pill. Can you find where it does?

"Republicans who opposed the measure say the definition of contraception is overly broad. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) called the bill “poorly drafted” and Thursday warned it would allow “unrestricted abortions.” She said Republicans do support access to contraceptives, but this bill would go too far."

There's always a catch, isn't there?

The Dems worded the bill in such a manner as to ensure it wouldn't pass. That's how they roll.
More gaslighting for your Republican masters. Cool.

Who's saying Americans DON'T have the right to buy and use contraception?

Plus 194 Congressional Republicans this morning.

That's awesome except you missed the critically important part about this pill or something like it being placed in the bill. Where did that claim come from and what is the proof/evidence that it's actually true?

That's all I've seen so far.

HOW SAD THAT THIS EVEN IS NECESSARY
It ISN'T necessary! This is a disgustingly illegitimate political ploy designed to FALSELY scare people into voting for democrats out of a misplaced fear of something that's NOT at risk of happening! There is no risk of contraceptives being banned in the US!

This is no different than when Joe Biden told black people that they must vote for democrats, or else "they gonna put y'all back in chains"! If we had a credible, nonpartisan news media, they'd call out democrats on this nonsense. Unfortunately, we don't have a credible media. So democrats are allowed to get away with this garbage!

See Post #27. Proof positive it was a gimmick. Old Nancy made it happen. That's the way they roll.

"The legislation is part of a series of bills meant largely to get lawmakers on the record on thorny issues related to pregnancy and abortion, Democratic leaders say. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters Wednesday she wanted Republicans to join on the bill, but warned “we will remember in November” if they don’t."

Kinda says it all, don't it?
More gas lighting. I'm sure your servitude is appreciated.
