Of course it was different. Three hours of a riot, few injuries and minimal damage. Versus months of rioting, looting arson against political enemies. People murdered. Thousands of police injured or killed. 2 billion in damage.

People died… don’t minimize it.

The Jan 6 riot was a result of the actions taken by Trump and his associates attempts to overturn the results of an election that they knew that he had lost. It was from their actions that made it happen. They are the ones responsible for it.

And to think that if their stupid scheme was even the slightest bit successful.. that using esoteric parliamentary tricks to reverse the election would have burned this country to the ground… and the fact that they were willing to go through with it should show every single person who loves this country that those people should never ever be near power ever again.
