HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after two men wearing ski masks and claiming to be police were shot and killed at a home in southeast Houston Friday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
The homeowner told police the two men said they were police and claimed they were at the home to serve a warrant.
"[The homeowner] became suspicious, because, you know, they have a ring camera too, and the suspects were saying they had a warrant, but it was just two people and they're masked up and no police cars, no lights or anything like that," said Lt. Khan with HPD.

At some point, police said the men shot at the homeowner through the door, prompting the homeowner to return fire.
KHOU 11's Michelle Choi spoke with a neighbor, who said they heard a total of 22 gunshots.
The homeowner was not hurt in the gunfire, but the two men were both hit and pronounced dead at the scene.

Stringer noted that real officers do not wear ski masks.

So, I suspect sooner or later real ICE agents are going to get the same reception. At which point Trump will use it as an excuse for total warfare on the citizens of the US.
 
I think the reception in Chicago will be a little warmer than DC.

Given that the homeowner used his own firearm to save his life, and protect his family from two imposters, the people who are nutty about gun control will probably try to ignore this.

It's a bit late to go grab your hog-leg after the shooting has started. Real police are easily identfiable by their luniforms with big police badges and writing, and their lack of masks. Only bad guys wear bandanas.

This does remind me of the Brianna Taylor shooting, where 'officers' were not in uniform, and had no police cars. It underscores the need for real police officers to involve marked cars and uniformed officers when doing operations.

I expect they might if they shot at someone through a door, but I suspect that's highly unlikely to happen.

Whether or not they were wearing masks is really pretty irrelevant here.

If the federal government used such a thing as an excuse to engage in warfare on the citizens of the US, won't you be glad that the second amendment exists?

"What if" questions are worthless. There was no "what if" on the issue, proven to be criminals with bad intentions. Plain fact, no IFS.

List of people who have successfully prevailed against government forces in a shootout, please?

I don't care what kind of guns you have. You might get a few shots off, but if you are in a shootout with the US government you are going to lose.

It is completely pointless to think the reason for having a gun is to protect yourself from a tyrannical government.

The purpose of the 2A was to quickly be able to raise an army out of "well regulated militias" because the USA wasn't supposed to have a standing army.

It's a shame that liberal nuttiness forces ICD to mask up. Doxxing or threatening cops should have server consequences.
