It didn't take very long to put together - I used leftover plumbing fittings and pipe that have sat around since my last plumbing project. There are three circles of pex pipe (1/2" - flexible tubing) - about 2' in diameter for the hoops, they're attached together (using some T-fittings, a sharkbite easy-pop connector and small lengths of cpvc pipe so the rings can be separated for storage). The hose attaches at one end with a female connector.

After attaching it all with plumber's cement I used a small drill bit (1/16") to drill 8 holes in each ring - most are verticle but a few are angled.

If I had more fitting I would have built it vertically, too - which can easily be a cheap fun project to get the kids involved in over the next few weeks.

The boy in the front has sad. 3 rings and 4 kids, what were you thinking?

Haha - I didn't have enough pipe for 4 . . . and he didn't want to be in the picture. He was crying because I made him get wet - poor thang.

That could be me if the picture was in black and white. At that age I hated getting water in my face. Not to worry: I ended up passing Jr. and Sr. life saving, plus getting the mile swim merit badge in Boy Scouts. Learning to swim was scary though, until I simply figured it out one day.
