Patriotism: forcing people to stand for the National Anthem

So meaningful.

Overcompensating fascist.

He’s also a cop so now you can really hate him. He probably killed four or five black people just on his way to the hockey practice.

He’s just letting his players know what’s expected of them during matches when “they’re on the clock” like coaches have since the beginning of time.

Its not about patriotism. Its about respect.

Look...I dont give a **** if they kneel, spit...whatever. It reflects on their own pathetic character and lack of capacity to intelligently express their actual position. In short...it says far more about them than what they are trying to protest.

LOL - Hockey. The whitest sport there is. What an unnecessary rant

You're going great, my friend. A white pride thread last night and an anti-black thread tonight. Post an anti-Jewish thread tomorrow and I hear you'll win a free tiki torch!

Oh boo hoo. Need a flag to dry your tears and blow your nose? I don’t consider the flag or the anthem having anything to do with being “anti black”.

Despicable slander. You should be ashamed.

Thats sounds like the coaches I had. Hard nose no nonsense guys and gals.

Next thing you know, he’ll tell them they’re not allowed to spit on the cops working security at the games, the fascist pig.

Imagine judging someone's character to whether or not they stand for some fabric and a song.

That's me defending cops. I could produce other posts as well, but I think my point has been made. You engaged in despicable slander.

There are two factors here which are conflicting.

The first is just that you stand for the anthem the same as you should shake hands with your opponent and treat everyone with respect.

The second is the freedom of speech and all that.

If the game is an INTERNATIONAL GAME, then sure, respect the anthems because it's one nation v. another.

But in non-international games, like the NFL, there shouldn't be the national anthem in the first place. It literally has no place there.

Next thing you know, he’ll tell them they’re not allowed to spit on the cops working security at the games, the fascist pig.

Are you suggesting that telling someone not to quietly kneel is on par with telling someone not to spit on another person?

That’s not just what it is to many.

And that is exactly my point. Do you consider yours, or Vancemack's feelings on the National symbols (in this case the flag and the anthem) more valid than my own apathy to the flag and the anthem? Or to someone who sees those before mentioned symbols with contempt?

Hell, I judged your character by demeaning it to "some fabric and a song". Its not a stretch then to judge some asshole that literally cites his or her own prejudice and bigotry as his or her motivation for protesting.

You haven’t ever argued that there are a bunch of racist cops out there killing black people or argued against “blue lives matter” or called cops snowflakes for not liking Colin K?

Oh boo hoo. Need a flag to dry your tears and blow your nose? I don’t consider the flag or the anthem having anything to do with being “anti black”.

You might fool some, but when you target "people who kneel" during the anthem at sporting events we all know who you're talking about. It's the Southern Strategy only you're a few decades behind the times, my dishonest friend.

So, same time tomorrow when you post an anti-Jewish thread?

Hell, I judged your character by demeaning it to "some fabric and a song".

Then what is my character then based solely on my feeling on those two symbols? For all you know, I could be a god-fearin', gun lovin', red blooded American. Feelings on symbols has absolutely no bearing on one's character.

Its not a stretch then to judge some asshole that literally cites his or her own prejudice and bigotry as his or her motivation for protesting.

Nah, it's a reach, you're really stretching for this one.

Its not a stretch at all. It is LITERALLY factual.

How would you respond to the argument that "we have to deal with 'the blacks' because there is a problem with 'the blacks' committing violent crimes"?

You’re not just “apathetic” if it bothers you that a coach tells his players the conduct expected of them includes not pissing on the flag, you’re hostile to it. What makes your hostility more valid (other than the virtue signaling)?
