It is baffling why so many people think that Trump has little or no chance to be reelected. He has 40+% of the voters ready to show up and vote for him. That's a solid, battle tested, take it to the bank percentage. Add to that the fact that party enthusiasm for Republicans is crushing Democrats. I see hate coming from both sides. The left hates Trump with a passion while the right hate all Democrats. Well, in general anyway. I'm a swing voter who voted against both Trump and Clinton in 2016. One that is pretty much in the middle, somewhere in-between the ideologies of both major parties. Where I support some of Trump's, oppose others, support some of the Democrats congressional agenda, oppose others, just like with every other president in my lifetime.

Perhaps it being a loyal partyist that brings out the hate, definitely a motivated partisan, ideologues from both sides of the aisle. I know, you all will say you don't hate Trump, but all one needs to do is read some of these anti Trump post to know you do. Same for the pro-Trumpers and their hate for the left.

I suppose along with all the mud slinging, the negative personal attacks, hate has entered into our political fray instead of concentrating on substance, new ideas, possible solutions to our problems, a positive vision of the future, where a candidates wants to take this country.

I know the responses, the Republicans will say that is what the Democrats do, but not us. The Democrats will state that is the Republicans, not us. Hey guys, it's actually all of you. Wise up or you both will lead this country to its doom, hand in hand I might say with all the hyper, ultra partisanship and yes, hate.

Partisanship blindness is what I call it. I don't have a party. Once I did, it was called the Reform Party. In fact I've never belonged or identified with either major party. My first vote was back in 1968 when you had to be 21 to vote. I pick and choose. I've totally given up on both major parties and now, whenever possible I support third party and independent candidates. The big reason is as I stated prior and the total partisanship blindness that blinds those of one party and or the other of how both are in the process of destroying our political system and perhaps the country to boot.

I don't have a political party, so this your party, from either the left or the right doesn't apply. I don't wear deep red tinted glasses or deep blue colored glasses. I look at things for what is good for America, not just the democratic party and its base or the republican party and its base.

Think what you will, but this your party stuff doesn't apply to me. In fact I don't think it applies to quite a lot of folks. Quite a lot of us aren't partisan ideologues more loyal to a political party than to the country, the country as a whole, all 320 million of us. Not to just those who are Democrats or those who are Republicans. All of us.
