Hillary Clinton campaign uses rope to corral media in New Hampshire | MSNBC
Can you imagine if a Republican had done this?, the partisan liberal media snivel-fest would be deafening. But in this case, the obedient partisan left-wing media lap dogs will to sit in the corner.
One hard-hitting journalist did ask Hillary what her favorite ice-cream flavor was.
That hard-hitting journalist was actually a photographer when they were at an ice-cream stand.

That is exactly the point isn't it! Hillary can't allow herself to take any honest, hard materially important questions, without committing political suicide.
It's a real shame, that if I don't want a Republican in the White House, this is what I'm stuck with!
She has no eye for optics, and an arrogance that's beyond belief.
She may be the front-runner, but I wouldn't doubt she fritters away her lead with a litany of incidents like this and her recent usurping the kids' day in the park, to die a death of a 'thousand cuts' due to the knife of arrogance.
I truly hate the two-party system!
Orwellian. Btw the best part about that softball question was her answer-her favorite ice cream flavor? She likes them all.
You know, BrewerBob, I'm feeling similarly except I'm extremely dedicated to seeing national healthcare in this country, and while the current ACA is a mess, the idea of a Republican getting-in and tearing it apart to start over really scares me.Hillary has accomplished one thing. She has gotten me to completely abandon the "lesser of two evils" mentality. Unless Bernie pulls off a major upset I'll be voting third party.

My family's originally from Europe, I've got tons of relatives scattered across Canada, and I watched attempts at universal healthcare since Secy Clinton tried her hand at it - and I hate to see it turned back. So, I guess that makes me a one-issue voter, but I don't want to lose our current gains.
But ugh - the thought of 'Madam President Clinton' turns my stomach almost as much as the former thought of 'President Romney'!

Yes, and the botched 'HillaryCare' is what at times lets me give (very hesitant & tentative) credence to the ACA.Same here.
The way she bungled the 1990's effort is what got me. Both she and Obama have set back the cause a few years I'm afraid. Based on the economic upset of Obamacare, the scare tactics - "death panels" of the extreme right, I would say you have an Herculean task.
The GOP has not shown one ounce of initiative to give us a functioning healthcare system over the years & decades. So, if you think they're going to 'improve' ObamaCare, I believe you're mistaken. They are devoid of ideas & lacking in action, as has been shown historically in this matter. They are simply reactionary/Yea God forbid a Republican is put in charge and actually makes a system where costs go down so prices go down (remember when Obama lied and said you would save $2500?) and PEOPLE were put in charge of their own health care (remember when Obama lied and said you could keep your plan?) and pick the things they wanted covered (remember when Obama lied and said you could keep your doctor?).
You might actually get to choose which hospital you go to as well!
She has been saying that she wants to be a champion for average (an insult in and of itself. Who the **** you calling average, bitch?) Americans....she just doesnt want to have to be near them.

The ACA is a mess, but it's a start - my hope is it morphs to the proper single-payer/private provider system it should be, free of insurance companies. I believe with a Democratic President, if we don't get closer - we'll at least not slip backwards.
Fair enough -Now I'm not voting for her, but that said, y'all are being crazy. She roped off the press so she could be in the parade with soon to be voters. Had she done the opposite, everyone would be saying she wasn't serious about being in the parade with the voters but was instead just using them to look good and let the press ruin the parade.
And you're not even a rightwinger and you're being stupid. I get not liking Hillary, but there are enough good reasons, this one is just silly.
I'm liking Sen Sanders myself, too.Summerwind;1064 792422 said:I sure hope it's someone besides Hillary though. Definitely would prefer Bernie, but if it's Webb or Hillary, I'd take Hillary I suppose.
Actually in this case she was roping away the reporters so she could be in the parade with the people of the city and not having the interruption and interference during the parade of the press corps. So you have your complaint exactly bassackwards.
Clinton Campaign Response
While the GOP may want to spin a good yarn on this, let's not get tied up in knots. We wanted to accomodate the press, allow her [to] greet voters, and allow the press to be right there... and that's what we did.

Yes, and the botched 'HillaryCare' is what at times lets me give (very hesitant & tentative) credence to the ACA.
Obviously, I and many other's wanted a single-payer system - and the conventional wisdom is that President Obama, after observing Mrs. Clinton's failure (and one would think receiving her guidance) felt he needed to bring the insurance & hospital industries on-board firstly, since their lobbying efforts could kill the effort at inception. And he did meet with them privately, early-on, as has been often discussed.
Now, the cynics see a wholesale sellout to the insurance industry behind those closed doors, and the cynic-in-me is wary as well. But, I do remember seeing Secy Clinton in an interview just after the ACA passed into law, when questioned about the lack of single-payer, she stated:
"First we've got to get everyone in"
And, perhaps she (& Mr. Obama) are right. Getting national healthcare off the gro
und, even if through the mess that is the ACA, may be the politically required pre-cursor to an eventual single-payer system (or a workable hybrid - a unique American system).
It is very possible - and Secy Clinton's earlier failure may be a testament to such.
Perhaps.
