High-Ranking Soviet Defector Endorses Ohio Congressional Candidate Paul Schiffer, Warns of Socialism of Democrats


The highest-ranking Soviet and Eastern Bloc Intelligence Official ever to defect to America (in 1978) -- who went on to help Ronald Reagan win the Cold War -- has endorsed Paul Schiffer, Republican candidate for Congress in Ohio's 16th Congressional District. Pacepa escaped Romania to become an American citizen.

Lt. General Ion Mihai Pacepa's statement follows:

"Thirty-one years ago I paid with two-death sentences--from Communist Romania--for my desire to break with Marxism and become a citizen of the greatest country on earth. All former Soviet satellites have now 'defected' from Marx's socialism, which had transformed a third of the world into an abysmal 20th century feudalism. Great Britain, Italy, Germany, France and Greece have also abandoned their ruinous experiments with Marx's socialism.

The stated intention of all the nationalization in socializing Europe was permanent nationalization.

With regard to our 'nationalization' of GM, etc. the Obama administration's stated intention is to keep the companies from going bankrupt so that they can return to the private sector as ongoing private firms. The administration knows they cannot run the companies as well as the private sector and cannot create the level of prosperity with them that the private sector can. Right or wrong, they just wanted them to survive to be part of that private sector.

With regard to Health Care, Obama's administration believes that the free market cannot create the right incentives to serve the interests of our society. Therefore, their goal is nationalization of this industry. They don't really say it this way, though. Nevertheless, they have failed to get anywhere near to nationalization of it.

Lets see, he is the first President that has got this far in reforming the broken, most expensive, healthcare system in the world, that has almost 50 million without health insurance and millions more underinsured.

He managed to get 4 million children healthcare with the SCHIP program, much to the consternation of our winger contingent.


Our scientist can now do what the majority of the rest of the developed worlds does with embryonic stem cells, find ways to help the living.


How about the enforcement of equal pay for women, you don’t think that as an accomplishment?

He also begin the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq. It seems to me getting our troops are out of harms way, at least from a war that was established on lies is a good thing.
