Hello all. I'm seriously looking for a new home, where I can cuss and discuss politics, economics, and technology.

I'm not new to the forum scene, as I own my own political forum. However, I'm at the point where I am thoroughly disenchanted with being stuck one place, and having to promote, even encourage, many who I personally dislike intensely. In fact, I'm seriously thinking of leaving permanently.

I just need a new place to call home, and not hold down the total responsibility to juggle member's sensitivities, and other's lack of civility. Anyway, this may sound like I am nit-picking, but I just need to escape, and be able to relax again. Owners of forums know what I really mean here.

Politically, I'm a Purist, in that I proudly hang the label of Classic Liberal around myself. I'm a staunch anti-Collectivist, believe passionately in Free Trade, and the Constitution, as the Founders intended.

Please don't call me a conservative, because the truth is that everyone is conservative, unless they are in the morgue, or on the way there. I'll leave that to the Blokes.

I use the word "Fascist" a good deal, and use it in it's correct definition, as Progressives happen to be. I read a good deal, thoroughly enjoy reading Dr. Walter E. Williams(my hero), and Dr. John J. Ray amongst others.

Economically, I'm somewhere between the Supply-Side and the Austrian schools, but lean a little more to the Austrian side. I thoroughly detest Keynesian theory, and look at it, and Collectivism as an incestuous relationship, where the Collectivist Left can promote self-destruction, at everyone's expense.

I could go on endlessly, but I just want to have a good time, find a nice forum to settle into, and enjoy myself. If things go well here, I'll settle in.

Thanks,

CharlieK

Welcome to DP! :2wave:

Wait! Let's get this straight, right off the bat. Does this mean that you are a member of the Australian Liberal Party? Or are you using the American bastardized wording and are really a member of the Labour(Democratic Socialist) Party?

I prefer to use your country's definition of Liberal, so I need that cleared up.

I'm using the American bastardised version, it's simpler considering most people on here are American bastards:mrgreen: I lean more to Labor the the Libs, though I wouldn't say that the Liberal party embraces classical liberalism to any great degree.

Are you telling me that they are prone to say one thing and do another,...............like the Republicans? Not that I am surprised, of course.

Sigh,.........Labour. I shudder to think the thought. After their last Turkey PM, I haven't been following the missus there, but suspect she is still trying to push all that Global Warming crap, just like her predecessor.

Incidentially, I'm a huge Jo Nova fan. A real Looker too.
