Here are the details of Trump's $1.2-billion call to remake UCLA in a conservative image

The Times describes the details, for the first time, of the 28-page proposal the Trump administration has made to remake the UCLA campus.

“The Trump administration’s settlement proposal to UCLA — which includes a nearly $1.2-billion fine over allegations of antisemitism and civil rights violations — seeks to drastically overhaul campus practices on hiring, admissions, sports, scholarships, discrimination and gender identity, a Times review of the document shows.

The document shows signs of being hastily put together. Nouns and verbs occasionally do not match in tense. There are references to the “president” of UCLA, but the top campus administrator, Julio Frenk, is a “chancellor.” A sentence about medical facilities references the “Feinberg School of Medicine,” which is at Northwestern University.”

The fools in this administration can’t even draft a formal letter without numerous errors. What makes anybody believe they can take over and basically run a university? Newsom is right- this is extortion. And where does Trump and the federal government get off on this type of activity against a state school? It was wrong in the case of Brown and Columbia while the shake-down of Harvard continues in the courts, but it’s even more wrong when Trump and his clown posse go after state schools.

More small government, I see. Not. This kind of crap is infuriating, and the right just cheers it on. Add extortion to the list of things this lawless administration is doing.
 
Curtis Yarvin laid this out. Basically he says that they need to take over journalists, academics, and government bureaucrats, then they can brainwash everyone with no real possibility of opposition.

This speaks a basic truth. Netanyahu and Smotrich are believed when they say they are jingoists, although they are undermining Israel for their own personal benefit. But Trump and his people have no such illusions. They realize that they are fueling a massive anti-Semitic backlash - a wave which they will eventually stand forth to ride on as its masters.

We must remember these professors and so many other Jewish protesters, and not concede a yard of territory to the new bigotry when, suddenly and according to plan, it becomes the mainstream.

Another lame headline by the LA Times. Ridding institutions of institutional bias through DEI and preventing hospitals from providing transitions to minors are normal people's opinions. Of course, the LAT is so far left they think its "conservative". Horrible news outlet.
