Hhmm...Must be a coincidence that this is happening now eh?
<State insurance regulators say they have approved rates for 2014 that are at least 50 percent lower on average than those currently available in New York. Beginning in October, individuals in New York City who now pay $1,000 a month or more for coverage will be able to shop for health insurance for as little as $308 monthly. With federal subsidies, the cost will be even lower.>

I don't believe it. It's that simple. Perhaps I will come back to this thread and apologize; but I doubt it.
Officials at the state Department of Financial Services say they have approved 17 insurers to sell individual coverage through the New York exchange, including eight that are just entering the state’s commercial market. Many of these are insurers specializing in Medicaid plans that cater to low-income individuals.
What 'individual' pays $1000 per month for health insurance now? That's outrageous. I pay health care for a family of 4 for $695.00. An individual policy for me would be less than $200.Hhmm...Must be a coincidence that this is happening now eh?

Why don't you believe it Maggie? Have you ever seen the markup/ sticker/ negotiated price of what the hospitals/doctors want and then seen what the insurance co ends up paying?

Deductible is high, $2500, I think. No preexisting conditions. Medical Mutual.High deductible? Any preexisting conditions? If any of preexisting conditions, what company is it?
$850 for just yourself? Wow. Is this a big city New York, Chicago sort of thing?I was paying $850 per month for a $5,200 deductible policy until I was admitted into ICHIP. Now it's just under $700. Depends upon age. Depends on your health -- right now. That will soon disappear. And that's a good thing.

$1000 or $308.
The cost will be the same 4-8% of your pay................that is the LAW.
Subsidy Calculator | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation
And the medical costs that are higher than that amount are paid for by who?
Paid for by the Mega rich in their .9% tax and the "investors" with a 3.2% tax.
Dont complain, your lucky the 5.4% tax did not pass in the original HC reform.
AHHHH and dont worry, a .9% tax on average income of $365 million per year will not hurt them............
So much dogma... why do you hate your fellow citizens that have worked hard to better themselves?
Worked so hard to oppress US citizens and take larger profits form foreign slaves.......yup, keep up your BS to make yourself think your not the traitor scum you are.......
How about you allow the repeal of the Taft-hartly slave act?
or allow the wall street criminals to go to jail........
