No one is buying that pitch. It's hard to sell a broken car.
So you say, but your liberal friends (not one republican vote) came up with Obamacare, and that is not saving anyone a dime, in fact it is a disaster and is going to cost a trillion over ten yrs not save us a dime.
So I say again, liberals think there is an endless supply of money, and only want to enact more entitlements, nannies and freebies for their own selfish wants. Be damned if their great grand kids have to pay for it. But they won't pay for it, they will be so engrained in entitlements themselves.
Record numbers on food stamps of over 47 million people. And this is after 4.5 yrs of Obama's policies.
New Rates come out this fall. I'm thinking you may have mis-predicted that direction of movement.
Gerrymandering my ass. You've got urban centers that vote 99% Dem, because liberalism has turned those urban areas into cesspools of parasites.
It's also difficult to counter Chicken Little approaches. What specifically do you object to?
I brought supported statistical facts and you brought your abject hatred of Americans. I like my odds in this discussion.

I guess if your one that believes there is an endless supply of money, Obamacare is all OK. However for those of us who see a 17 trillion dollar debt and growing by a trillion dollars a year a real problem.
How about costing the tax payer a trillion dollars over the next ten years. If that is not bad enough many states are now predicting their citizens insurance premiums are going to up as much as 146%. But hey, it's all good to give all the entitlements, nannies and all the freebies you want as long as the money doesn't run out. There are many that believe there is no bottom to the money pit. But when you read below people have real concerns and worry about cost.

Insurance Premiums a Mixed Bag under Obamacare
I Googled 146% rate increase and was taken to an article about California's exchange premiums. I quickly admit my error, as that kind of increase is astronomical. The fact that it's hard numbers can't be disputed. We're in for a rough ride. I now agree.
I still believe we need universal healthcare, however. Hopefully, they can tweak Obamacare and bring these costs down. It's not easy to do because there are no exclusions allowed for pre-existing conditions. Still, every American deserves to be able to purchase healthcare insurance. Perhaps it will become more affordable....?? It has stifled our economy quite long enough.
If you forget what you Googled, just message the NSA and one of their analysts will assist you.

Actually, the concept of reforming healthcare is central to the issue of the national debt, budget deficits, and employment.
Obama just started with the hard, long term stuff first.
No, he pointed out that demographics of your party vote in lock-step, which skews the overall numbers. Lemmings don't ask questions, they just do as their told.
Why start with a scheme guaranteed to bust the budget and discourage employment? You know, much of the public seems to have figured this out.

Late last week, a post by Avik Roy on possible increases to health insurance premiums in California went viral. So viral, in fact, that it was apparently Forbes’ fastest ever to reach a million page views:

It’s pretty easy to see why. The headline asserts that the Affordable Care Act could drive individual insurance premiums in California up by as much as 146%, and contrasts with a report from California that showed that premiums would rise by less than what was expected.
While people don’t understand the law particularly well, they do understand what they pay for health insurance.
One problem: That number, the number that Drudge Report, The Daily Caller, and others picked up is misleading.

Great job, Boo. Just shows that the administration as well as states haven't been that effective in getting the correct information out there. I'm sure that's part of the problem.
That would be a bad idea. That's why he did the opposite.
The ACA should help control Medicare costs in the long run, as well as increase employment by giving people the opportunity to be mobile in the job market because they can get insurance that's not employer based. It's a lot easier to quit your job and start a business if you don't need to be employed for health care.

Under the traditional health insurance system, a large staff was required just to navigate all the paperwork, he said. That resulted in high overhead, forcing doctors like Nunamaker to take on more patients to cover costs. Plus, the amount insurance companies were willing to pay for procedures was declining, leading to a vicious cycle.
"The paperwork, the hassles, it just got to be overwhelming," Nunamaker said. "We knew that we had to find a better way to practice."
So Nunamaker and his partner set up a membership-based practice called Atlas M.D. -- a nod to free-market champion Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged. Under the membership plan -- also known as "concierge" medicine -- each patient pays a flat monthly fee to have unlimited access to the doctors and any service they can provide in the office, such as EKGs or stitches.
The fee varies depending on age. For kids, it's $10 a month. For adults up to age 44, it's $50 a month. Senior citizens pay $100.
Obamacare is loaded with disincentives to employment. We know this because companies have already announced plans to cut back.
