Sane people having to form alliances to protect people in their state from Trump/RFK Jr/MAGA.

PS: Did you know that Donald Trump has arguably the best healthcare/doctors of any person on the planet?

"Hawaii has joined forces with the newly launched West Coast Health Alliance, which includes California, Oregon, and Washington.

Hawaii is joining the alliance a day after its launch Wednesday, according to a news release from California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office today, as part of “a shared commitment to safeguard public health.”

Together, the release said, these four states will “provide evidence-based immunization guidance rooted in safety, efficacy, and transparency — ensuring residents receive credible information free from political interference.”

I wonder what form the retaliation will take.

And so this is what I mean when I say, when you have a President trying to send in the National Guard and threatening to take over cities and stuff, over the objection of the elected officials in those places, whilst being cheered on by the Trumpist idiots, because let's not forget, all of this, the constitution, the United States, the power of the Presidency only exists so long as people believe it holds weight, so when you have critical mass of people willing to continue to go along with this heavy handed approach by the Executive Branch, it is creating these cracks that can become chasms and lead to greater problems down the road (all of this TACO notwithstanding)...

This is yet another example and the key term here is.... Parallel power.

Once established... Becomes POTENTIALLY problematic down the road, now I do not mean to overstate my case here because in relative terms to what COULD occur down the road, this is small potatoes.

But lets say, for example, for showing up RFK and challenging him, Trump retaliates and calls for an end to this by threatening all sorts of things, Federal Funding Cuts, National Guard deployments or whatever whacky shit he wants to come up with...

And maybe it won't be this, maybe it will be something else, but there very well could be other things, in other areas where states, or a collection of States begin to challenge Federal Institutions in others ways like this, where we could see flashpoints and ultimately a breakdown of the United States as a cohesive political Unit.

Trump is pushing things in a direction, where this starts to become a distinct possibility, maybe not tomorrow, but if MAGA and what he is doing, remains a dominant political force and continues it for years to come, I would argue, becomes inevitable.

I'm okay with this.

I see no advantage in remaining with a nation whose leadership refuses to act in the best interests of the population as a whole.

Maybe send the NG to the crime infested hell hole of Kauai?
My guess is the Hawaii NG would not respond.

Which would lead to all manner of hilarity.

Any NG soldier setting foot on the island would be immediately whisked away to a Timeshare Hospitality Center where they'd sign on the dotted line just to make the hard-core sales pitch stop.

But they'd get a free helicopter tour of the canyon!

CO hasn't joined, but they did issue a vaccine standing order - anyone 6 mo or older can get the covid vax without a prescription.

Trump has definitely been driving a wedge into the divide in American society. It looks like his entire political 'strategy' has been trying to make as many people as possible as angry as possible for as long as possible. He tells them outrageous lies to make them angry, angry at other Americans. He's has flat-out declared that he hates other Americans, including all of his political opponents.
The USA has certainly split into two opposing camps, and it looks like where that split can be on geographical terms, it will be.
