Voted by mail and got confirmation by text it was received and counted.

There is a difference between processed and counted. Unless they used the word counted in that text, it wasn't.

Counting the days until election ads end. LOL

I know what you mean. All of them are lies or misleading statements.

So the disabled, elderly and anyone without a car aren't normal people?

Wow, anyone else you want to offend while you're on a roll?

How about people with jobs who don't have the luxury of waiting in line for hours because Republicans have done all they can to close voting locations and make it as annoying as possible to vote? I suppose it sucks to be them as well.

And don't forget the people who can't be in their precincts on Election Day.

No

Will vote Tuesday at about 10-11am after the morning rush.

Did you request a mailed ballot and go to your polling place to drop it off there?
I'm in Colorado and have been receiving ballots at my home for years now, I don't have to request for each election. Most libraries near my home have a ballot drop box, the one I use most often also is a polling place for those who choose to vote in person.

So voting at a small library is not weird. That is good to know.

Why should it be weird, if they have the voting machines, poll workers, etc.? Would a big library be less weird?

At a big library, there would be much less circling and a lot more parking spaces plus better things to do than stand in line if you get there late.

When I lived in Ohio, my voting place was a church in walking distance. It is said so many other votes can't be that lucky.

That I live in Ohio, my mail-in ballot has already been mailed in and processed accordingly. That said, there should be absolutely no reason why any US citizen should have to wait in line to vote, unless they so should choose.
True, anyone who wants can vote early or use a mail in ballot. Of course you do have to follow the correct procedure and that seems to be harder than it sounds. Pennsylvania says misdated ballots cannot be counted, this election.

I've never noticed an excess of people there or cars in the parking lot. I don't think that's an issue at all there.

I have not voted yet, but will use the mail in ballot that we drop at a dropbox at city hall.

Yes, I voted. I dropped off my mail-in ballot at a local drop box on 31 Oct. Later that night, I received an email and text notifying me that my ballot was received and counted. 🗳️

You mean "normal" people, who are not housebound, tied to an oxygen tube, too weak to walk without assistance or stand in long lines, can't afford to take off work, have no transportation to a voting booth miles away, and may not vote the way you want them to? Those "normal" people? Tighten your belt, your pants are slipping and your agenda is exposed.
Election day should be a federal holiday

Early voting in Florida ended today. My mom reported seeing cars circling in the library parking lot and estimated the line is two hours long. I have voted there before (presidential primary election for Joe Biden) and only had to wait for one person so this is not the scene I would expect there before Election Day. Mom said the reason is voters are not smart enough to avoid the long line by going there a week earlier. Hopefully, many of them learned their lesson not to wait until the last day of early voting unless they can stand in line when it opens in the morning.
Your mother is wise!

I worked as a Chief Judge of Early Voting here over two weeks that just ended Friday. Our busiest day, of course, which I knew would happen, was the last day, Friday. We doubled the number of voters on that day than we had on the first day. Our busiest period was 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM on Friday.

I got a chuckle listening Friday afternoon to the murmuring of the folks on standing in line, and their being disgruntled at having to wait for a check in clerk or having to wait for a voting booth. Two weeks of Early Voting and you wait until the last 3 hours of the last day to vote? The problem was not our fault.

But that is human nature. Like I said, I knew it would happen. But we got everyone taken care of and voted and out the door by 5:00 PM.

I heartily disagree, for various reasons, but I would be willing to allow an experiment of, say 5 years, with how that might work, then assess the evidence.

Your state ends early voting rat the same time most people are getting off work? Blame the Republicans. They all know thousands of Democratic voters are clocking out and looking for their cars at that time. Why can't they close early voting at the same time that they end Election Day voting, which usually is 7:00-8:00?

The average person isn't disabled, isn't elderly, and has a car, so technically, no.

Wow, anyone else you want to offend while you're on a roll?
Who's your favorite person in the world? I'll find a way.

How about people with jobs who don't have the luxury of waiting in line for hours
I have a 50-minute drive to work, a ten-hour shift, another 50-minute drive home (with a nap possibly required near the halfway point), and 45 minutes at the gym planned for Tuesday. After all that, then I go vote. Cry me a ****in' river.

How can it possibly be called early voting when you're voting on election day at a polling place?

What kind of building is your polling place?

I voted for the first time earlier in the week. I'm going back for my 2nd vote on Tuesday. Before any of you say what I think you're going to say. Let me put your mind at ease about the legality of voting twice. I should be fine, I registered as a Democrat 😜

Election day should be a federal holiday

There is no reason to do that, but I would propose making Election Day an off day at schools for two reasons:

1. They are used as polling places in many precincts.
2. Most people turn 18 when they are in 12th grade.
