Knowledge of the law is a huge part of what I said a politician should be. Running a business could qualify you for a civil service job but as a politician it’s a very small piece. If best businessman = best President then surely you’d support Jeff bezos as the single most qualified man for president in the country. Right? So, no experience running a business, or knowledge of the law?

Superior choice? Over Hillary? That is a very very low, low, low bar and to think that even after 4 years of being president he ended up losing to Biden, a 78 year old man that is considered only a few inches above the grave and a few inches above cognizant. Wow, we really need to congratulate Trump for that, don't we?And just think: Despite all of that, in 2016 America was still smart enough to realize that Trump was the superior choice...
I suspected. A dump truck load of stupid TDS propaganda and nothing about the Democrat lies and deceit, which was the subject of my post
I don't know about that. I would tend to thing that he failed at that, as well. The numbers say so.Come on now, his Russian mob money laundering "business" is doing great.
Donald Trump's wealth takes tumble during presidency
Donald Trump's net worth dropped by about $700m to $2.3bn (£1.65bn) during his time as president, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
yes and most of this happened on or about Nov. 2016.We have a new normal in this country. Anything is fair in politics. Lying, falsifying documents, using media propaganda, twisting facts, false, baseless, never ending investigations. Impeachment based on false information.
The people that perpetrated these deeds hated Trump. He was a DISRUPTER. They wanted to continue coasting along in their little bubbles of incompetence with no stress. They couldn't have a CEO that demanded performance. In a GOVERNMENT job? No way......
So they pulled out all the stops...anything was fair game.....and they succeeded in getting rid of the disrupter. The reward? Now, they have a nice, game playing dupe. All is well.
But did you think there would be no blowback from all that?
And not just from the GOP or the Trumpists.
It's the lack of ethical behavior that's been "normalized" by the above insanity.
The country has been changed forever. And not for the better.

One problem with your thinking. Trump was already discredited as a business man and one that did not have any morals, ethics, principles or humanity, well before he was president. Will any Democrat here admit that the Mueller investigation was nothing more than a means of discrediting the hated Orange Man?
Tweety lost the election.
Trump Inc. was worth $9.5 billion in 2015. Just FYI.Knowledge of the law is a huge part of what I said a politician should be. If best businessman = best President then surely you’d support Jeff bezos as the single most qualified man for president in the country. Right?
but it doesn’t sounds like you’re endorsing trump as a qualified candidate. His businesses are often fraudulent or failures, his knowledge of the law doesn’t go beyond tax evasion and how to plausibly deny blackmail and again - he was cast for the apprentice. I’m really sorry to break out to you but that was acting. He didn’t even get to pick which contestants won and lost, producers did. And thank god for that because he would have fired omerosa for insulting his tie in season 2, episode 3.
Well, you're getting closer to reality. I suppose that's something. One problem with your thinking. Trump was already discredited as a business man and one that did not have any morals, ethics, principles or humanity, well before he was president.
As such, "if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, he must be a duck". The Mueller report did not state that Trump was not a duck, just that they were not able to get close enough to state unequivocally that he was a duck.

Nonetheless, Trump has proven over and over again that he is "a duck".

The country isn't a business.
So what? Neither is the government. Businesses are the lifeblood of the country. Without them, we wouldn't have much of anything. It's the government's responsibility to regulate businesses, and to do so it would help if the people making the laws and regulations had some experience running businesses, so they can fundamentally understand how those laws will affect businesses in the real world.
Yeah I heard about his income drop, but I'm sure his money laundering is still a big source of his current income, and hey, it's tax free!I don't know about that. I would tend to thing that he failed at that, as well. The numbers say so.
A degree in political science is one thing I look for or a law degree in Constitutional law...Can you give an example?
In order to be a heart surgeon, you have to go to college and medical school, and do at least 6 years of internship/residency. And access to each of those steps is increasingly highly competitive, based on merit.
What are the prerequisites for being a "politician?"
I think Grandpappy just realized that Trump is not being reinstalled and it is affecting him...I hope you get over your Trump Devotion soon. Watching you melt down publicly 10 months after the fat fool got his ass handed to him is getting pathetic.
You mean, will Democrats behave like today's Republican? I think that might be necessary. In this case, we'll just say, "the end justifies the means". Seems to work for you!We have a new normal in this country. Anything is fair in politics. Is tomorrow the latest date for Trump's reinstatement, or have they finally gone off that nonsense?I think Grandpappy just realized that Trump is not being reinstalled and it is affecting him...
