Do we have any famous dopplegangers here? :)

Someone told me once that I look like Jodi Arias. I was like............. eh..... thanks?

Yes more more often than not when I am traveling someone will think I am somebody they know's son/grandson, etc. and then they will "are your sure?" as if I might be confused about who my parents or grandparents are. I also had a twin during spring break that I never ran into but people traveling with me swore they thought was me until they talked to them.

When I was a teenager, I was told I looked like Daniel Radcliffe. Which, you know, for somebody who didn't get the whole Harry Potter thing was not exactly a woo hoo moment.

It has been suggested to me that I resemble Eric Clapton, Robert De Niro, and Jesus. Since those three don't look much like each other, I chalk it up to perception.

I have been told in no uncertain terms I look like Zac Efron

I play online poker and years ago I played tables with Robert Downey Jr. and Kenny Chesney among others. During those early online poker years, people displayed an avatar and I had my picture on mine because I was new to the internet and didn't know that's not a smart thing to do. Changed it long ago of course. Robert Downey Jr told me that I looked like Diane Lane.

I have on numerous occasions been told I look like Shia LaBeouf.

Okay, I'm gonna need to see a pic in the Tavern.

You do know he's gonna show you one of the actual Zac and catfish you?

I know. I always worry about telling people they look like a particular celebrity nowadays. Most of the time I have found either they don't know the person, or worse, they are offended because they don't like that person.

There are some famous people that have been told that they looked like me... they were ecstatic!

"Eh........thanks"? Thats exactly the same reaction I had when 2-3 people said that I look similar to the "Dr Perry Cox" character from "Scrubs" played by John C McGinley(I had to look that up on IMDB to get the name). I dont think ive ever watched more than a few episodes of that show, and even then i didnt watch the entire episodes(I only watched it for the super-cute blond haired girl who stars in it). It took some thinking to figure out exactly which character it was that they were comparing me to, because i dont know the characters by name.

But when a few people over the past 3-4 years made the comparison, and once i figured out who they were talking about, I couldnt think of any redeeming qualities in that particular character! Being superficially compared to him is almost as cringeworthy as being compared with Jodi Arias.....

Damn, it happens to you too! Isnt narcissism wonderful!

when i grow my hair out and have a short beard, my wife thinks that i look like Keanu Reeves. when you find someone who thinks you look like that even though you don't, you marry that person quickly, pal, and you grow out that hair. have done, and will do. the only silver lining of this pandemic **** is that it has given me an excuse to stop getting haircuts.

Some say I have a "multi-cultural look". So much so, that over the period of one day, I was compared with: Bruce Lee, Denzel Washington, Gandhi, Abe Lincoln, Abe Vigoda, "Mini Me", Andre the Giant, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sioux leader Crazy Horse, all the members of Neil Young's band "Crazy Horse", Neil Young, Ronny Van Zant, Mother Theresa, Yul Brynner and Jerry Garcia....

Once....I was smoking a cigar.

I was told I looked like "Lassie"...............Lassie taking a crap.

In my younger days several people said I looked like Prince Charles. I'm sure that was because I wore my hair like he did. I see zero resemblance now. My mother was frequently told she looked like the queen (they grew up a few miles from each other).
