I've voted from Germany, as an absentee voter. After my twenty-year military contribution to America's well being I hope that I matter to its future!? What say you, you MAGA shit, who think I don't matter at all?
As an absentee voter, where is your vote counted? Is it in the state where you were registered?

Yup. Colorado. I simply Googled up absentee voter for America. It was easy. Maybe easier for me, I think, because I maintain a property Colorado that I rent out and have a Post Office Box. I'm also retired military, so they seem to at least pretend to care. But....I still needed to register SSN, other established personal identification, and foreign address, which is clearly about individual identity per vote. Where are you at?

I live in Dublin. The last place I was registered to vote in was Brooklyn so always assumed that’s where my absentee vote would count.

My ballot has been received and will be counted on Oct 20 (which apparently is the first day they can count).

Your voting residence is within your state of legal residence or domicile. It is the address that you consider your permanent home and where you had a physical presence.

For most, this is usually the last place you lived in the U.S. That address (despite somebody else living there now) establishes your history in the U.S. And providing your new local address is a part of the personal identification.

The military are champions at this. I was born in Florida and lived there as a baby for about two months. My Dad is a retired Marine so I was raised everywhere else. But when I enlisted, I claimed my Grandmother's address in Florida as my residency so that I wouldn't have to pay state taxes for the next twenty years. Not once in my life have I ever voted behind a curtain. I have always been absentee or local mail-in.

Mail-in ballot has been sitting on my desk since Monday, really ought to fill that out and mail it back.
Update:
Mail-in ballot was mailed in, and I have received confirmation that it was received by the local government.

Already voted, and strongly considering going dark re: politics after this weekend until Thanksgiving. I figure if anything significant happens between now and then I'll certainly hear about it.

Voted in person the day early voting opened.

There was a really long line but it moved pretty quickly, took about an hour. Glad I voted early and it’s over and done with.

What if you vote early, and the candidate you voted for gets assassinated? Just for the sake of argument, let's say both the presidential and vice presidential candidate gets assassinated.
What happens to your vote?

I filled out my ballot yesterday and will put it in the local drop box this morning. 🇺🇸

HARRIS AND WALZ FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT, DEMOCRATIC DOWN BALLOT. 🇺🇸

My cast ballot resides in the Absentee Ballot successfully processed ballot storage area waiting to be scanned and counted on Election Day.

Woo Hoo!

It still gets counted on Election Day.

I've already dropped off my ballot.

For who? A generic Republican candidate who hasn't even been named? What if it was someone you didn't want to vote for?

It gets counted for the Candidate you picked, deceased or not.

Just voted in SC - first day of early voting. I got there at 8 am and the line was already wrapped around the building (opened at 8:30). Waited little over an hour to get into the voting booth. Have never seen this with early voting in SC before. SO crazy.

Did you spot any of the MAGAT poll stalkers Trump wanted to send out across America?
