The earlier variants are, but Delta still comprises 48% of the variant load:

What's interesting is the number of cases and hospitalizations have gone up much higher than it did with the Delta surge, which started in mid June. So just based on the information I've seen so far, the vaccines were more effective against the previous strains than Omicron; something that is not new information. What I haven't seen yet is data around people with severe illnesses and deaths by vaccination status. Denmark has about 80% of its population vaccinated, so unless the people dying are all unvaccinated (which I really doubt), there's something to learn here.
