Harry and Meghan Versus the Royals

Harry and the Half-Black Princess. The royals knew she was trouble from the start. Give her an inch and she'll take a mile because she has African blood. I love racism stories as much as the next guy but I'm getting a little burnt out on this one.

Millionaires and billionaires deciding which mansion to have their birthday celebration in. It's boring. Shame on Oprah couldn't she have interviewed President Biden instead?

Imagine living in a fishbowl and having to do the right thing all the time. Monarchy seems dismal for the actors.

Because “the Firm” is a metaphor not an employer. Palace HR is for servants and staff employed by the Palace.
It doesn't seem that Meghan understood that nuance when she reached out for help. After all, the staff is paid from the same Sovereign Grant that the royal family is.

Thanks for confirming that racism is alive and well. Good job.

It doesn't make sense that she needed their help to get help. We're not talking a about a child here (well, at least not literally.)
We're talking about a pregnant woman that was kept isolated in a foreign country and couldn't bat an eyelash without being crucified in the British tabloids and got zero support from her in-laws. and their firm of loyalists.

Harry and the Half-Black Princess. ...
Why is the bold such a thing when pushing racist comments?

"Obama is half white." Yes, we get it. But, guess what else? Half white is still black, and the racists know it. So, what is it really about? Is it another attempt to strip the dignity from the black person? Likely.

She bizarrely approached Palace HR about it and had to be informed that the Royal family are not Palace employees and she was responsible for securing her own mental health help.

No she was informed that she couldn't ask outside for help, because family image. "The firm" is a Royal Family in-joke. It's not run like a company, they don't have HR they have PR. While William and Harry were fronting mental health charities, she was denied.

I thought they were just awful and oh so whiny. Harry, too, much to my disappointment.
I also thought the skin color of Archie narrative was way too dramatic. I agree with an earlier poster who mentioned that the parents themselves often wonder about and discuss what their kids will look like. It might have nothing to do with racism. If one parent is white/blue eyed and another brown/black/brown eyed, it's quite common for the parents themselves to wonder what their children's skin and eye color will be. Also, each child of those same parents might look quite different from the other children from the same parents (in terms of skin and eye color). These are perfectly common conversations that happen all the time in families and lots and lots of families these days have various mixes of color. Then, I'll go one step further. Let's say there hasn't been a mix of colors in a family yet and suddenly there is for the first time (though I have to agree with another poster in that it's hard to see even a little brown in Meghan). If there are any family members who are the least bit uncomfortable with mixed colors/races, as soon as the baby is 10 minutes old, all of that is quickly forgotten within the family.
Meghan has isolated herself and her children IMO, not the other way around. Archie and his soon to be sister would have been as much of a loved and accepted part of that royal family as every other child/cousin/2nd cousin. Meghan too if she would have just had an ounce of patience and allowed herself to become just part of the family instead of the disruptive drama queen. But, that wasn't good enough for "princess" Meghan. She clearly wants "special" attention for her and her children. Pathetic!

Queen Elizabeth has a great deal of control over how "The Firm" relates to the family and what the press is allowed to print. Given what has appeared in the press about Ms Markle I would guess that the complaints about treatment were justified and Meghan porbably isolated her self in avoiding being hurt and shamed further. Keep in mind that the Queen let Charles continue his relationship with Camilla after he was married, that she let the press hound Diana, was miserable to Fergieand her daughters, wouldn't let Ann marry her first love, She has not been kind to any of her childrens' spouses. It is not inconceivable that she would let the press and "The Firm" rip into a mixed race, American daughter in law without and connection to royalty.

The Royal Family is not paid. The Queen is paid and any monies they received from the Sovereign Grant were by her good graces only. Harry and Meghan were primarily living on handouts from Prince Charles.

Interesting, and assuming this isn't a cherry-picked list (by them, not you), it does seem like they've been harder on her. But where is the racism? Is it simply presumed they were harder on her because she's part black?

There's plenty more evidence out there, that was a handy reference guide.

If Harry's princess weren't half black we wouldn't be having this discussion would we? Game, set, match. People tire of that stuff when force fed it on a daily basis.

A chancer and a ginger crying oppression. He was always a disappointment and the trailer park whore has always showed her roots...

The Royal Family typically doesn’t dignify tabloid rumor with a response from the Palace. Being savaged by tabloids in silence is part of the job Meghan married into.
The royal family, ie the Queen, knows perfectly well how to control the press, tabloids and all. How much has been written up about Prince Andrew? Prince Charles? Very, very little considering their reprehensible behavior. Being savaged by the press is done selectively on people the Queen doesn't like and she 'doesn't like' a lot of people.

Half or quarter or even eighth black, racists consider her to be black. Otherwise "we wouldn't be having this discussion would we?"

What is Charles’ source of income?

The Duchy of Cornwall is a Crown entity holding land and other assets to produce an income for the monarch's eldest son.

It wouldn't be my choice, no. Actually I'm race blind although you may not like that.

The Queen does not control the press and she can’t save anyone who makes serious and public errors in judgement and creates scandal.

more like i don't believe that, but whatever.

The Duchy of Cornwall is a Crown entity holding land and other assets to produce an income for the monarch's eldest son.

Revenues from the Duchy of Cornwall are not publicly funded unlike the Sovereign Grant which entitles the Queen to 25% of the revenue from Crown Estates held in public trust.

Whether it's the half black royal princess or the half black Tiger Woods or the half black Barack Obama I'm just tired of people being described by their race. That's what I meant when I said I was race blind. And when are fully black people going to get any meaningful recognition?

Let them have a field day then... After last night's public airing of dirty laundry, little Ms. I need my privacy, has proven herself to be mentally unstable.
The royal family should break their silence and issue a single statement saying they are sorry that Meghan and Harry feel the way they do and out of respect for those feelings the family will no longer involve themselves into the lives of those two. Then cut the two of them loose and free them of all the encumberments that are attached to being royal while making it painfully clear that the queens grandchild will always be welcome to enjoy the royal life without his parents.

I would let the couple stew on that.

The Royal Court wants them stripped of their titles. It’s probably for the best.

Everyone should be getting tired of it!!!!! The left's obsession with skin color is about as bad as their obsession was with Trump.

Because “the Firm” is a metaphor not an employer. Palace HR is for servants and staff employed by the Palace.

It is represented by Jason Knauf, former communications secretary to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who sold the story to The Times. It's this American PR guru who created a stir and smeared Meghan. Probably Jason and Meghan didn't get along well and their personal feud is behind the drama.

Who is Jason Knauf?
Knauf was the communications secretary for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the time the allegations were made.

He is said to be the person who submitted the bullying allegations to the HR department in October 2018.

The claims were raised to HR in a bid to get Buckingham Palace to protect the staff that Knauf alleged were coming under pressure from the Duchess.
