So there it is -- Harris is the nominee. Next big step is who she picks for vp and how that affects things.

Btw, if you're expecting this to change the trump campaign's decision on whether he'll debate Harris...don't. I expect that decision to be impacted far more by his performance at the NABJ than this.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Kamala Harris has secured enough votes from Democratic delegates to become the party’s nominee for president, Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison said Friday.

The online voting process doesn’t end until Monday, but the campaign marked the moment when she crossed the threshold to have the majority of delegates’ votes.

Well this looks rather official. Is Trump going to agree to debate her now?

lol
Not yet, but Harris’ campaign has already bought airtime in areas he’ll be campaigning in soon with ads calling him out for running from debating. 👍

It's only anti-democratic if the other side does it, I guess.

This doesn’t sound like the shady back room decision by a few elites I keep hearing all about.

For people voting for a guy who literally doesn’t respect the democratic process at all…

This is not ground that you want to cover.

I promise you.

Tell it to people "voting for a guy who literally doesn’t respect the democratic process at all…"

Here's the video link of Harris' call thanking the DNC for the nomination, saying she accepts the nomination and will officially accept it next week.

It's short, and I recommend listening to it as I think it's quite good. She more casual and informal than Obama, but reminds me a great deal of him.

Listen to the call - you won't regret it!
