One of the things that really speaks to importance of the date is how the Republican Party changed so quickly from condemning it and Trump to now denying it or rationalizing it and him. This is quite a warning. 1/6 may mark the beginning of the end of our democratic process, but it is just beginning.

Rather it was the culmination of many actions by Trump and others that led to this event. That is the much more serious crime......figuratively or legally remains to be seen.

Then we also have partial information of this, that, or the other related to the above unproved premise, which are purposefully partially leaked / released to the public, typically for political gain. This too isn't facts at the same level as those which resulted in the inventory of federal charges listed.
