Trump's tariffs take effect today. Here's what you'll pay more for...

Tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada that are set to take effect could hike the price of a gallon of gasoline for some drivers by as much as 70 cents and send grocery bills climbing, experts told ABC News.

That seasonal price impact could add another 30 cents per gallon, putting the total increase in gasoline prices at $1 per gallon.

A dollar a gallon! That's bigly.

If this depresses you don't think about drowning your sorrows in alcohol...

The U.S. also imports large quantities of beer, tequila and other alcoholic beverages from Mexico, experts said.

Cars and auto parts are going to get hit...

Carmakers and consumers depend on the auto industry’s deep ties to Canada and Mexico, making tariffs a threat to prices, experts said.

Mexico and Canada make up the top two U.S. trading partners for both finished motor vehicles and car parts, according to a Cato Institute analysis of data from the U.S. International Trade Commission.

But wait, there's more! Retaliation is coming besties. Expect it to be targeted to cause maximum economic pain.

I got a profanity laced email from a cousin up in Nova Scotia this week. ;)

Hey cousin,

PS: Hope to see you and the wife sometime in June.

I used to live in Bedford. I love the Truro area.

Though I hate seeing my American friends suffer, I really do hope this hits hard and that it won't take long for this stupidity to end.
We can't do shit about it. A lot of us tried.

As for my household, we made a couple big purchases recently so that we don't have to make the purchases during this awful thing that Republican voters have done to us. It's still going to be hard, because we won't be able to effectively negotiate cost of living adjustments with our jobs to cover this massive mistake. I hope that I don't have to change jobs. I expect more greedflation, as well, because corporations have an excuse to raise prices thanks to his blustering.

Maybe, could, if, perhaps

LMAO. 😂

LMAO! Riight. Americans will not cower at the price of maple syrup going up. The Canucks will say uncle in no time. Go Trump!

How would you know what Americans want, you don't live here and you certainly don't speak for all americans even though you think the things you say are important to us who live here in America. America, love it or leave it...I've heard it said.

"beer, tequila"

We're celebrating today so we can take off work.

Better fill your gas tank today ⛽
How long do you think it'll take for retailers to find a different source? Not long, I think.

And, what happens to Canada when that happens? You'll have a lot of gas that nobody wants to buy.

In any case, I don't think my gas comes from Canada, so I'm not worried.

Of course, this can all be easily avoided if your country would just shut down the Mexican cartel fentynal manufacturing plants in your country.
