Hamas Says It Agrees to Release All Hostages in Gaza

The question is what comes next.
Israel tried to get moderate Arab nations to agree to set up a new government in Gaza after the war, but they all said no.

So I would guess that the Palestinians just huddle in their tents in the ruins of Gaza for the rest of their lives, and everyone else in the world goes on with their lives as well.

Israel has repeatedly tried to destroy Hamas over the last decade and failed every time.

Not at this scale of destruction.
When was the last time you saw HAMAS pound GAZA such as this time?

Nope, it’s a recognition of Israel’s standard behavior.

Standard of war.

There will be casualties.

67,000 dead.
The ruins now, that was once squalor GAZA!
Thousands of sons. Daughters.
Thousands of future for HAMAS. Gone.

GAZA paid dearly.

Don't you think HAMAS and Palestinian collaborators regret Oct 7............................ more than anyone else?

You think would-be released Palestinian prisoners - and HAMAS militants - who'd committed atrocities against Israeli civilians will ever find peace?
They'll always be looking at their backs.
Israel could still hunt them down, anywhere, ala-Munich.

I bet that is one thing that would make Netanyahu agree to an amnesty.
The consolation that they could still get them all. Some time. Later.

If I'm not mistaken.....the first phase is for Israel to stop the bombardment to provide safe passge for the exchange.
Israel will withdraw troops to an AGREED LINE.

They don't seem have the same interpretation and expectation!

What has been announced?

After three days of intense indirect negotiations in Egypt, Israel and Hamas "signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan", the US president wrote on social media.

"This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon,
and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace,"
he added. "All Parties will be treated fairly!"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it "a great day for Israel" and said his government would meet on Thursday to approve the agreement and "bring all our dear hostages home". Israel says there are 48 hostages still held in Gaza, up to 20 of whom are believed to be alive.

In confirming the announcement,
Hamas said it would "end the war in Gaza", "ensure the complete withdrawal" of Israeli forces, allow the entry of humanitarian aid,
and implement an exchange of the hostages for Palestinians in Israeli jails.

I think @snakestretcher inadvertently has provided a defense for the Israeli attitudes toward survival. Imagine living for 80 years with terrorist attacks, six full-blown wars with Arab countries (not counting Gaza), missiles and rockets, and threat of nuclear attack from Iran.
Yeah, I've listened to the same propaganda that you have. If a bunch of European foreigners stole your land, forcibly evicted and displaced 700,000 of your people at gunpoint, torched 50 of their villages, illegally occupied the land, built 'settlements' on it after expelling you and your family, what would you do-hand over your keys with a welcoming smile? You whine about what Israel has 'suffered', but not a word about two million Arab refugees imprisoned behind 50-foot walls, armed watch towers and with every aspect of their lives controlled by the colonists. That's the reality you supporters of Israel are clueless about. Poor little nuclear-armed Israel, my heart bleeds.

No. Just more facts and reality.

Everything that I say is true. That is why no one can point out anything untrue in my posts.

Wrong again. Everything that I say is true in reality.

Fake news. No such occupation.

Indigenous Jews are not colonizers. The only colonizers in Israel are Muslims.

Indigenous Jews are not interlopers. The only interlopers in Israel are Muslims.

Falsely accusing Israel of genocide means that Israel now gets to keep the West Bank all to themselves.

Your explanation is bogus. The West Bank belongs to Israel now because of the false accusations of genocide.

Except that is not what the Palestinians are doing.

The Palestinians are waging an illegal war of annihilation against Israel.

No such violation.

Nope. Just more facts.

The goal is for Jews to live peacefully in their ancient homeland.

Arabs have no ancestral home in the West Bank area.

Nonsense. The mass rapes were widely reported by the media.

Likewise, you have no actual knowledge that the Palestinian "death toll" is even remotely true.
More clueless garbage. Well done.

Which, driven by the left's hate of Trump, will deny him having anything to do with it.
Most decent and honest people hate fraudsters, thieves, racists, sex offenders, misogynists and convicted felons, irrespective of their political lean. What do you find so attractive in Trump?

What are you talking about? Let's stick to non-fiction.
I offered nothing but indisputable facts. Read some history and learn something which isn't Israeli propaganda. Start here:

All fiction, right?

It is clearly a waste to get someone who endorses the actions of Hamas to understand that Israel perceives, rightly, an existential threat from any group that has a sworn goal to eliminate Jews from the Middle East.
Quit lying, or show me where I have ever "endorsed Hamas". You lost your argument and now resort to lying. Great look. An "existential threat" against the most powerful nuclear-armed military in the Middle East? Don't make me laugh.

Maybe...................the USA will step in, and set up a new government for GAZA.
Remember what trump had envisioned for GAZA sometime ago?

The presence of USA right next door to Israel, ensures the security of Israel (and the region), even after Netanyahu is gone from politics.

How does that word salad change these two facts:

  1. You quoting Hamas saying they do not target civilians.
  2. Hamas clearly slaughtered civilians on Oct 7.

I was responding to someone who claimed Hamas admitted they targeted civilians. Clearly, they did not make that statement. And I do not believe Hamas, even though they are almost infinitely more trustworthy than Israel or the IDF, which also targets civilians (on a scale that exponentially exceeds Hamas).

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. Because by any and every metric, Israel looks worse than Hamas.

They did!

Lol, they even wore camera when they attacked Israeli civilians on Oct 7!
What more admittance do you need, when they recorded themselves and were pridefully taking responsibility?

Hamas Civilian Ratio: 68.2%.

IDF Civilian Ratio: 83%

And keep in mind that Israel has the technology to target combatants over civilians, but chooses not to. Hamas does not.

Ah yes, Mar-a-Gaza; possibly the stupidest thing Trump suggested-next to Canada becoming the 51st state and buying Greenland. No mention of the two million Palestinians attempting to exist among the rubble. What do you suggest happens to them?

There's a brand of Christianity that values the lives of white people over brown people. This conflict should be seen through that prism when dealing with supposedly Christian supporters of these atrocities. They don't see the moral hypocrisies they're engaging in because their calculation is not based on human life being equal, but on some people being worth more than others.

Why are surrounding Middle East countries unwilling to take Palestinian refugees?
Why does Hamas care so little for the condition of Gaza and refuse to surrender?
Why does Israel perceive an existential threat to survival?
When did the Jews first document presence in the Middle East?
Which religion, Islam or Judaism, was first in the Middle East?

You oppose Hamas and agree that Hamas should surrender and release the hostages????

Why are surrounding Middle East countries unwilling to take Palestinian refugees?

They said the same about Jews during the Holocaust.

Why does Hamas care so little for the condition of Gaza and refuse to surrender?

Hamas is a militant resistance group. What are they resisting?

Why does Israel perceive an existential threat to survival?

Do you think Hamas is an existential threat to Israel? If so, what flavor of Kool-Aid are you drinking?

When did the Jews first document presence in the Middle East?

What does that have to do with anything? The Zoroastrians predate Jews. Is that how this works?

Which religion, Islam or Judaism, was first in the Middle East?

Zoroastrianism.

Most of the Arab states support the creation of an independent Palestinian state. Emptying Gaza and the West Bank of Palestinians would effectively kill that desire. I'm not here to be quizzed by you, and nobody cares who was there first or what faith they follow. This is about justice for a population oppressed by Jews for decades. There is no threat to Israel's survival, any more than there's threat to America's survival. But by all means drink the Kool Aid rhetoric.
The Zionist goal, as per the Likud party Charter of 1977, is Israeli sovereignty "from the Sea to the Jordan", irrespective of who gets in the way. Speaking of existential threats, remind me of who it was advocated starving to death the population of Gaza, claiming it would be "morally justified". Hint, It wasn't a Muslim.
You clearly haven't the slightest idea of what's happening in Gaza, because Fox won't tell you, nor will any of your right-wing go-to sources. All you read and hear is Israeli propaganda and lies.
