Capitol Police called to investigate swastika in GOP congressional office

I'll push back on this part here because it is certainly possible one can do that. I believe this was a Zoom meeting, and one has the option to remove the self view
Who logs into a Zoom meeting where a camera is on and doesn’t check what the view is?

Especially someone who makes a point of putting several flags AND a Constitution in frame?

Nah. I don’t buy it. This is a relatively young, new staffer. He has the things behind him on purpose.

Boy, the hits keep coming.

How many Nazis do we have to see before we can identify a trend?

It’s at least as likely that he, or someone else working in that office, did it, than anyone not associated with that office.
Sure - entirely possible that someone in the office did it. Again - I think more likely that it's a joke or a prank than the congressman has a flag waving neo-Nazi working as an aide.

He sat on a Zoom call with it in the background.

That’s where the screenshots of the flag come from.

He knew it was there. And didn’t take it down.

Nothing “accidental” about this.
Let's see what the investigation says, but that's likely fantasy.

You know we can, like, find a den of these proud Nazi's online supporting MAGA and saying "I love Hitler" right now, right?

Seems easier to want to condemn Nazi's and get rid of them than pretend they don't exist, standing right in front of us waving flags
You can probably find a crowd of bad people, even Nazi pretenders, that support just about any group. And they absolutely should be condemned.

That doesn't change that there's a near zero chance that any are working as congressional aides.

Another GOP Nazi, this one working for a Republican congressman from Ohio. Had an American flag with a swastika in the stripes on his wall.

This country has a Nazi problem, and a lot of them are in government and in the White House and defend them.

Makes sense why they find anti fascism to be a threat.
.....coming out of the closet.....so to speak

Were those Young Republican, racist, Hitler loving, gas chamber attendant wannabes also just being silly jokers and pranksters also?

🤣

It's not the future I'm describing, it's the present.

The future is a whole different story, and you guys aren't going to like how that comes out.

No one is buying the "See no evil, hear no evil" nonsense. Your claimed ignorance of what is going on - the "plausible deniability" - isn't plausible anymore.

We know what you guys are, we've fought you before.

More dramatic junior high posts with emojis.

Please tell me liberals aren't so stupid they'd actually think a Republican congressman would prominantly display a Nazi flag in their congressional office?

More then likely those on the Left running with this obviously absurd story 'want' to believe the congressman is a Nazi so they can justify violence against their political opponents. After all, who would defend taking out a nazi?

It's depressing how stupid people are nowadays.

Doesn't matter whether he put the flag there himself, he is what he is.

Your side just declared me to be a terrorist because I oppose fascism, so shove your crocodile tears about violent rhetoric.

Real nazi's show their true colors behind close doors like those young punks. They have no business being anywhere near a leadership position and they should be banned from any future Republican functions.

That ugliness should haunt them for the rest of their lives and hopefully it's brought to the attention of any potential future employer. Zero sympathy for their ruined lives.

I've never declared you to be anything beyond someone who runs their mouth a lot and has a fondness for drama queens.

*flick*

Here's a crocodile tear for ya.

I agree, the chance that a Nazi is working as a congressional aide is higher than zero, meaning there are some among them making this story plausible enough to take seriously.

Yeah, they think they are slick and getting away with it, but the bucket load of evidence is too much now to ever really deny it, and for some reason, they feel deflecting away to not talk about makes them look any less guilty in simply allowing this to go on.

I think it is a matter of them feeling like they can get away with things like Trump can, who can lie in people's faces and get away with it, feeling like he "owned" someone speaking gibberish nonsense. They rather tell us everything we need to know by how they react when this happens, based on whether the person is politically aligned with them. Like a sports team, that project everyone is part of some team, when a lot of us are just sitting back, wondering when they realize we can tell it is all just confident performance bullshit.

The same type of MAGA that feels they can get away with anything, just like their idolization of Trump. I think they feel like they can do it all since, if they are loyal enough, Trump will pardon them or even offer them a promotion.

Investigation? They ****ing put it up there as decor.

Maybe ask that Nazi salute gesturing Elon Musk. Or that Hitler mustache wearing Alex Jones. Or that Hitler rhetoric spouting Donald Trump.

How many of these ****ing Nazi boxes do these republican politicians have to check for republican voters to pull their heads out of their asses and open their mother****ing eyes?

I think it's plausible a young aide would be stupid enough to display in his cubicle. He may have thought it was an ironic joke.
More then likely those on the Left running with this obviously absurd story 'want' to believe the congressman is a Nazi so they can justify violence against their political opponents.
That leap of logic surely ripped your pants. The last thing I want to believe - or to be true - is ANY congressperson being a Nazi. See, I don't hate my political opponents, as you seem to think. I do despise a lot of the positions and policies they advocate. And no I don't believe in political violence.

After all, who would defend taking out a nazi?
A lot of people would not, on the left in particular. Remember it was the ALCU that defended the Nazi Party's right to march in Skokie.
It's depressing how stupid people are nowadays.
And it's depressing how readily you slander your political opponents, and imbue them with the most vile motives.
