Half Washington sheriffs refuse to enforce new gun laws

Until the Supreme Court declares it un-Constitutional all laws must be obeyed and enforced.

WRONG! Not law that is unconstitutional needs to be either obeyed nor enforced. You are attempting to place an initiative or the legislature ABOVE the constitution. You also putting Congress ABOVE the Constitution of the United States.

LOL The SC is charged with interpreting the Constitution and they alone are the final authority on that document. No one else can.

WRONG!

The Supreme Court has no authority to change or interpret the Constitution of the United States. See Article III of the Constitution of the United States.

The Constitution of the United States is owned by the States collectively. Only THEY can change the Constitution of the United States. Only THEY can interpret the Constitution of the United States.

Yeah wait until some crackpot law is enforced on him. Yeah that would be worth seeing.

I was just in Portland yesterday. I hit voodoo donuts on the way out, I always try to do that the weekend before I have the kiddos here up in Seattle.

I think Portland is a great town, I always have. I used to run in the "Rose City Run" every year. It's a cross-country relay race.

Anyway, if you don't like it there, you should move.

I think a rural down in Alabama would be much more your style, don't you?
If you happen to run in the crowd you do,I'm sure Portland is just great.

Not under constitutional government. You are in Canada. You do not understand constitutional government. Canada has no functioning constitution.

Can you really not see the fallacy in your argument?
News for you, bud, my nationality doesn't affect my ability to understand things. In fact, there's a good chance I understand how your government works better than the average American.
But let's get back to the topic. I said law enforcement should reflect community standards. You disagree? You must, and apparently you think having a constitution is what makes considering community standards wrong. So enlighten me. What in the cnstitution makes considering community standards wrong.

The State of Washington isn't a democracy either. We are a republic. We have a constitution.

Oh that stupid fallacy again. Why do so many conservatives not understand that the US is a democratic republic? Why do so many conservatives think 'republic' and 'democracy' are mutually exclusive?
Wait, wait, I know! Because so many conservatives don't know and don't care what words mean.

You are quite right. I've talked with several State Patrol officers. They are not going to enforce the law either. That's in King Country, Seattle. They'll just let governor Ingrown jump up and down and bluster, then ignore him. I am pretty sure the State Patrol rank and file is not going to enforce this initiative either. They really are a good bunch by and large. They're not stupid (well, maybe one or two are stupid).

Seattle Metro police already have their hands full with gang violence, illegal drugs being sold, stolen guns being sold, the homeless, domestic disputes, and a socialist city government. They're not going to enforce this initiative either.

Bellevue police are cowards. If an incident happens, they will send a form out right away. They won't enforce this initiative.

I can't really see the King County sherrif's office go to great lengths to enforce this initiative either (they don't enforce the last gun control initiative either), even though the sheriff's office has not made any statement about it.

Hey wait a minute! Are you saying law enforcement should reflect community standards? But when I said that exact thing youtold me I was wrong because I don't understand how constitutions work.
Not fulla crap, are you? Nah, must be some other explanation.

Cops refusing to enforce the law? They should have their badges ripped off their chests immediately.

Except for if border patrol and ICE decide not to follow the law, amirite?

Well "friend" I off hand would say the Progressive gun haters in general. Be it Seattle or Portland.

I don't hate guns my brother. If I thought I needed one I'd get one, fortunately I've made if 58 years without owning one. I'm sorry you feel that "loving guns" must be a test to see if anyone's worthy of your time.

I absolutely love it when someone I've had on ignore forever spams posts to me in threads like this.

SO you are a big fan of rounding up ALL illegal alliens, arresting them and deporting them as well as enforcing the laws at the border as well...

right?

I truly believe in "Choice". Choose to own what guns you want-or choose not to own one. I don't look down on people who choose not to own guns. Just those who want to prevent others from owning them. I don't own golf clubs, hockey sticks, soccer balls, pointe shoes, croquet mallets, or motorcycles but I have absolutely no issue with others owning such things and using them in a responsible manner.

What's a "pointe shoe"?

It is what a ballerina dances in

Ahh! Ok, T.D. Let me test your knowledge. What brand and model of guitar does Ted Nugent play? Can you just guess or do you need to google it?

Don't know-don't really like his music. My son did attend an awards banquet and sat next to him. But as to his music-haven't a clue.

As a guitar player, I admire him. As a person - well - he should stick to guitar-playing. His guitar is a Gibson ES-335. Nice instrument!

right?

Absolutely. I believe in the rule of law.

Until the Supreme Court declares it un-Constitutional all laws must be obeyed and enforced.

If the person violating said law wins the argument in court it doesn't matter. Intentionally violating unconstitutional laws are the quickest way of getting them reversed.

From deep in my memory, I somehow recall a Gibson Les Paul, but that's from an album cover from 40 years ago.

Close! Not is a hollow-body, the Gibson ES-335

Absolutely. I believe in the rule of law.

Good. Now all we have to do is convince...oh...I dont now...every elected democrat and the mast majority of idiot leftists out there to be a responsible liberal like you.

Oh...and do you support enforcing state laws...even if they are contradictory to guaranteed Constitutional protections?
