Okay.....new orders. Now Hagel has ordered 21 day Quarantine for all US Military coming back home from the afflicted countries with Ebola. This includes all Medical People too!

The controversial decision was driven by concern from military families about the risks posed by the Ebola virus, Hagel said at the Aspen Institute Washington Ideas Forum in Washington. The new policy “was discussed in great detail by the community, by the families of our military men and women, and they very much wanted a safety valve on this,” Hagel said.

The military will have more people in Liberia than any department. Our people are younger ... they are different. They are not volunteers.” Hagel signed off on the controversial new quarantine rule Wednesday, effectively reversing course from the Defense Department’s policy outlined in early October that stated troops would not face any restrictions unless they showed some symptoms of Ebola, such as fever or nausea.The order came after the top brass, through the Joint Chiefs, formally recommended a quarantine. The Army began isolating soldiers returning from West Africa on Monday, and there are currently 42 soldiers in quarantine in Vincenza, Italy. Dozens more troops, including sailors, airmen and Marines, are due to redeploy out of Africa during the next several weeks. The military’s policy is now far more restrictive than Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, which say travelers from West Africa and even health care workers who treated Ebola patients should submit to symptoms monitoring by public health officials but not remain isolated.....snip~

this si stupid for him to do. It is the Administration trying to pander to the hysterics. Wait, is controled monitoring taking their temp for few weeks or isolation? And if we think a bit further about this, to be effective they would all have to be isolated individually. I need to think more before I respond to an MMC title. :3oops:

Sure does, but what the heck. Obama does what his science tells him to do. Some science is changing it's mind for some particular people potentially exposed. I guess what's happening is that Hagel and top military brass are listening to a different science than the one Obama is listening to. Who knew there was more than one science?

Well, they know to reduce the risk down to 1% that it takes 25 days. Moreover I am sure they are aware of what some states are doing to protect their citizens, as they say.

Still BO met with doctors and nurses that just came back from there, yesterday. As usual BO and Team were looking to play off it. Intentions.....you know the lefts play.

Then to top it off.....they discovered the Good Doctor who became symptomatic/infected. Just wasn't telling the truth about where he had all been. Now they have to go and check on the trace of where he was. They discovered this by him using his credit cards.

Williams and his troops are being housed in a separate facility and are not allowed contact with family members for the 21-day period. The troops are provided access to a gym, a day room, TV and the Internet. They are being monitored for any signs of infection.....snip~

I hope it doesn't come to that. We don't have a vaccine. We can't predict the possible mutations. Now, before you jump to the "fear" routine popular here just now that you probably think I'm spreading, let me remind you of my "out of an abundance of caution" comments. I'm not necessarily risk averse, but I don't believe in taking unnecessary one's, either.

Exactly Mak......Neither can the CDC, WHO, nor BO peep and his team, and the only thing the CDC can guarantee is to take it down to 1%. Which according to their own data. Requires a 25 day incubation/quarantine period.
