Guns must be protected at all costs- why?

LOL Ok I'll trade you my knife for your AR and we will see who wins. An AR can take out you and your whole family before you get the knife out of the scabbard.

So I picked your post apart sue me. Are you saying all of these officers were afraid and not one of them had the balls to to take any kind of responsibility on his own? I doubt if they were all that intimidated to sit on their hands and do nothing. But if that's the case then they don't deserve to wear the uniform. One 22 year old with a Glock 19 (9mm) against the same weapon that apparently held 400 at bay he engages and threat over in about 15 seconds. Do you think he should have ran?

Why were those particular cops "frightened to death" of that single individual, armed with that particular rifle? Especially considering those cops were armed much the same. And considering that other cops, and even civilians haven't been "frightened to death."

Damn...if an AR15 is so scary, all we should have to do is let any prospective enemy catch sight of our M4s. Or do we need trade them in for AR15s so as to allow one of our soldiers to frighten a hundred enemy soldiers to death?
