Guns are the problem...

Guns don't cause crime, nor do they make people suicidal

But they're not the reasons why people want guns banned.

There doesn't seem to be a good reason.

Nope, quite the reverse

Those who wants guns in society are an enemy of the people.

The difference is that those who want to ban guns are opposed to Constitutional rights and civil liberties. So by definition, they are enemies of the people.

They didn't mean that as permission to maliciously violate people's civil liberties for no reason.
That sentence is a bit over the top hysterical, dontcha think?

No.

The fact that some degree of regulation is permitted is not license to maliciously violate people's civil liberties for no reason.

So someone who disagrees with you and proposed a restriction you oppose is malicious simply due to their proposal?

That depends on what their proposal is. And, more importantly, on what their motivation is.

If the only reason for their proposed restriction is that they hate America and want to harm Americans, then yes, their proposal is malicious in nature.

Countries that ban guns are "police states" according to one poster on here.

You're always referencing imaginary strawmen.

They'll gradually become police states. He missed that part. Look at UK they fined a man £12k for thinking the wrong thoughts in the wrong place.

I think a place with thought crimes and censorship zones is slowly becoming a police state.
