Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. both have walled compounds and
armed guards 7/24. Anywhere they go so goes their security. If it's good for them then why not for all?

Better yet stop trying to ban weapons and put the criminals away from decent law abiding citizens.
Make the criminal responsible for their actions. Not the citizens who follow the law!

The stupidity of Fox news and stuff right wingers believe is unreal. Schools can't even afford to pay their teachers livable wages, so the solution is so completely stupid. But its Hannity, and he's pandering to the dumbest of the dumb

He's a true visionary, Hannity is. Got an image of his ideal America firmly fixed in his mind and is working toward realizing his dream, a nation where every child grows up in fear and lives all their lives in suspicion and hyper-vigilance.

To be honest, as someone who would strongly prefer gun control normally, and has seen it work well in Canada and advocates for its continued strength there, I think meaningful gun control in the States is basically impossible/unenforceable unless you go all in with a universal approach, and even that would take probably decades to realize at a minimum given the sheer quantity of weapons, even if you could find the political will and capital to do it (you can't). Islands of sanity in the States on the gun control issue are quickly flooded by the ocean of guns surrounding them, rendering state level legislative efforts almost completely futile.

If Canada struggles to keep smuggled guns (invariably used in crime; US sourced guns count for 70%+ of our crime guns) from penetrating its international borders, what chance in hell does a completely pourous state border have?

Unbelievable; isn't it?

Teachers make north of $30/hr...

400,000,000 guns and counting are floating around out there. Yes, it probably is the case where the zealots already let all the horses out of the barn, and there probably is no way to rein them back in.

This debate keeps finding new levels of bat **** crazy.

Hannity is intentionally making a mess of the argument, knowing full well his audience will eat it up without any rational consideration whatsoever.

Hate to say it but in many states, they already are police states. Police have murdered many innocent people. What would be so bad if they murdered mass murderers before the crime, not after?

He's right.

They would love a Gilead

teacher make garbage, particularly in red states. National average is 60K, that's not much money in many places. many Red states have even worse pay

Can’t speak of armed guards, but Pelosi does not have a walled compound. You’ve fallen for fake news. Check it on snopes.

Teacher pay depends on the district they teach in. $30 is not the starting pay for many teachers.

Plus, add in all the time spend “off the clock,” grading papers at home, and their rate of pay is diluted even more.

Starting pay for teachers with a bachelor’s degree is $18 an hour in Alabama. Maybe if they valued education more here, it might be higher, but they do not.

Imagine that. I'm shocked.

Teachers aren't paid per hour.

It's the Right Wing myth of the "overpaid" teacher. I've heard that one since I was a wee lad still in school myself. My god. It's stunning that this lie still persists.

Starting salaries in all states are $30K - $50K. Those are "livable wages" especially when almost all new teachers are single with no children.

Some teachers are overpaid.
