Gun control is damn near the equivalent of car control

Oooh, fancy Latin words! You win!
I won a long time ago, dozens of threads ago when your arguments were first refuted. I’m just shooting fish in a barrel in this thread. And it’s hilarious.

Texas will be blue within the decade.

The evidence says otherwise:

Trump’s 13.7% margin was significantly greater than his single-digit margins in 2016 and 2020. Trump significantly outperformed his polling averages in the state and became the first presidential candidate to win Texas by double digits since 2012, reversing the trend towards Democrats that Texas had exhibited in the two previous presidential elections. According to exit polls, 55% of Latinos in the state voted for Trump.Data also showed that Trump also made large inroads with Asian-American voters in Texas, who awarded him 55% of their votes. This marked the first time a Republican candidate won a majority of both Asian and Latino voters in Texas, a considerable feat that even former Governor George W. Bush did not achieve.

2024 is one election; their demographics are changing. Immigration and those folks coming from states like CA are bringing their politics with them.

You don't believe in our constitution. And you believe owing a gun places you above the law. So much for the myth of the "law abiding gun owner", along with the "bravery" inherent in owning a gun.

Not the kind of places where they would leave you free to go target practicing with military weapons on the weekends. That only works in the boonies where no one lives.

I'd like to ask both of you a question.

While I think it's unlikely, it's certainly possible that Trump could refuse to relinquish power at the end of his term. So suppose we end up living under a Trump dictatorship, and he decides to suspend the constitution and impose a gun ban under the pretext of public safety.

Would either of you support Trump if, as a dictator, he vowed to get as many guns as possible out of private hands?

If you are against the right to own firearms in the United States, even if you just want to legislate out things liberals call "assault rifles".

How do you plan to work with the fact the there are approximately 400 million (probably way more) in circulation.

There are more guns that people in the US and guns last longer than car and a human.

Gun legislation is not a new thing, guns have been continuous legislated every decade to no effect.

So if gun legislation is the answer, then why hasn't it worked the countless times its been implemented?

And how do you do so without clearly violating the bill of rights?

When is it time for the left to focus maybe just even a little bit on things like uhhh...... prescription drugs, metal health, culture or media handling of mass shooting.

even if you still believe in gun legislation somehow, do you really think you have great take on the issue, when the issues just above are seldom talked about or given attention by your side of the isle by any sort or recognizable degree.

I find it sad when one's manhood is tied to an instrument of slaughter.

Even worse when one's post makes clear that is what is at play. A scream for recognition in just a negative manner.

BTW, we have thousands of threads like this. Why did you feel we needed another?

I know why, you dont.

Peace

He's acting like a dictator now and the same group that insists their guns will protect us is cheering him on louder than anyone else. So, yeah? As a Jew if I were suddenly in a new reich, my life would be miserable so getting guns out of as many Reich supporters hands would probably be a good thing. Until the camps that they have planned for us. :(

Bomber over target.

So it doesn't work so well does it?

But Just maybe the next SOB'n guy who decides to slaughter with his Auto, innocent young women standing in front of
a bar munching a taco, well maybe he will think twice about the man in blue with that shiny revolver. People knocked out
of their shoes, laying there bleeding.

So? I'm still statistically safer in Texas than in Illinois. Unless you want to drill down to more localized statistics.

Do you think Texas will become more dangerous like Illinois, if it goes "blue" like Illinois?

You better stay on script.

I don't know what you're referring to and who cares if even you don't want to expand on it.

It's just interesting that you're promoting the idea that immigration can be beneficial to the political aspirations of one party compared to the other. I see that idea more often denied or ignored.

No, what you see is being called out on the lie that illegal immigrants are voting in masses. I said immigration, your brain already decided they were illegal cause there isn't any other kind for the grand white party. Thanks for letting me know how YOUR script works.

I didn't say they were illegal. You must have me confused with someone else, or you're lying again.

SO then what are you intimating? Democratic policies are pretty popular with new Americans. That's what I'm speaking to. What are you speaking to?

That one party has a vested interest in providing for rampant immigration and wholesale minting of new citizens.

That isn't quite what I wrote. I think your anger is clouding your eyeballs.

I just don’t understand why you keep lying after getting caught so many times lol

But it’s ****ing hilarious

It’s not you personally. It’s the access to guns everyone has. The freedom for every school shooter is the same as yours.

So you *were* talking about illegal immigrants voting, yes? I don't know what "wholesale minting of new citizens'. The Trump Gold Card buyers?

No, I wasn't talking about illegal immigrants. Read what I wrote. It isn't difficult and there's no need to lie about it.

Explain it. They're your words, if you're not going to define them, I'll do it for you. And odds are I'll be way closer to the truth than you even attempt. What and who is 'newly minting" citizens? Are you saying legal immigrants shouldn't be catered to? Yes, I believe Dems offer the better message to all Americans. Is that controversial to you?

I get it, you want to fight so badly but something holds you back.
