Guatemalan father denied temporary visa to attend 13-year-old daughter’s funeral in the US

A Guatemalan man has reportedly been denied a temporary visa to attend the funeral of his 13-year-old daughter, who was kidnapped and murdered in North Carolina earlier this year.

An online petition that surfaced last week requesting officials allow Hania Aguilar’s father be allowed to come to America to attend the funeral has gathered more than 50,000 signatures.

If true, this is ridiculous, This sort of family business should be almost automatic unless the man is a suspected terrorist or convicted criminal. There is no point to this except creating bad feelings towards the U.S.

While a prominent, yet sad aspect of the world we live in. The most I can say is that I hope he eventually gets the chance for closure. Though I don't see any reason to be so vocal for this one man, when he surely isn't the only one that this has happened to recently.

Then again, we also can just let people who claim this sort of thing come in, when they claim it. Even if this man is actually the father, which seeing that it's most likely already confirmed that he is. The country has it's own rules for entry.

Seeing as he's the president, I would have to agree with you on that.

Though it seems like you're suggesting that Trump is the one barring this man from entering the country as it is. Yet you don't recognize that such barring for entry has been in place since before he took office.
