Its a free country right? :lamo
Yes. Yes it is. Anything else to say?
Got any suggestions for the name?
Outfadel? Mecca me Hot?
Perhaps a dog kennel on the other side? Maybe the barking would drown out the calls to prayer.Great! I propose a Roast pulled Pork joint on the other side....You know, for the munchies.

Good luck getting a permit to build a strip club next to a religious house of worship.
I thought it was a free country
I thought it was a free country
Which is a shame, too. I think it would be a great lesson for all the girls at that particular school on the necessity to get a diploma.rof They still have permitting requirements & zoning ordinances, just like any other city. Most cities won't allow a strip club to be built next to a school, either.

He's trying to build a bar, not a strip club.Good luck getting a permit to build a strip club next to a house of worship in Manhattan.

It is. However that's not what I'm talking about. Care to troll your own thread with more purposedly obtuse comments?
So it isn't a free country.
Cities do descriminate on who can put what where.
Add to that: hospitals, old folks homes, day cares etc.
His strawman is that when people argued that these people had every right to build a mosque near 9/11, it was an argument based on the U.S. being a 'free country'. The real argument was that these people had not committed a single crime in obtaining the rights and permits to build a land and prohibiting them from building a mosque through legislation or the feelings of the public would violate their first amendment rights.

We heard so much from the other thread that if they have the money and the property is available they should be able to put a Mosque anywhere they want. Double standard FTW

does not follow from this:
Logic FTW!
Yes, cities do make zoning decisions to group appropriate services and businesses together. Churches are almost always allowed to build anywhere, but bars and strip clubs are usually limited to specific sections of the community, away from residential areas, schools, etc. As you'll note, there are already several churches in the vicinity of ground zero.
Pathetic attempt.
haha so its trolling to explore freedom. Got it
No. It's trolling when you don't understand the comments being made by people so you jump into wave a flag mode. It would take somebody far more connected than a FOX News commentator to get a licquor license and operate next door to a house of worship in any state. That's what my argument was in reference to. When you're ready to discuss my statements, maybe you can come back to your thread?
