Bad take. Vance is going to pretty handily win the GOP nomination in 2028 absent some scandal. Trump will crown him as heir and that's more than enough for the slobbering MAGA masses.

If you libs had paid any attention at all to, well, anything you would know that Trumps trolling and late night Twitter rants actually did more harm than good to his image and his agenda. So sure, if dopey leftists want to emulate that, have at it.

I disagree. Vance is a Peter Thiel creation in every aspect, and Thiel and Musk are at odds with MAGA, aka Trump's handlers such as Bannon, Miller, etc. I think there will be an attempt by the MAGA radicals to run Trump again for a third term, which will fail, in which case Trump either doesn't endorse anyone, or he endorses some dark horse lunatic MAGA candidate we haven't even heard of. If what happened to Pence is any indication, being Trump's VP guarantees nothing.

I agree that Trump supporters will accept him, but they will not love him. Vance just does not have the sauce that Donald Trump has.

Vance being a Peter Thiel homunculus is exactly why he's going to be the nominee. Thiel is hooked up with all of the same interests which put Trump in office, there's no reason to suppose there will be a factional dispute.

He's a fat, ugly, charisma vacuum. Comes across as totally insincere and has an unfortunate number of connections to oligarchs which will totally freak the schizophrenic right out (they'd be correct btw).

Except he won in spite of the trolling and late night twitter rants, so I guess it wasn't as damaging as you claim. Perhaps you weren't paying close attention. Of course there's a distinction here, since Newsom isn't emulating it, but mocking Trump's social media posting style.

There arguably already has been with Musk (friend of Thiel) calling Trump a pedophile on twitter, calling for him to be impeached, etc. Thiel will stay quiet about it, and Vance will continue to play both sides, but I dunno, I think he doesn't win the nomination in 2028 with Trump's support.

I actually hope he does though, because Vance is a weak candidate with zero ability to turn out the yokels to the voting booths the way Trump does. Plus, whoever the GOP nominates in 2028 is stuck with the Trump albatross across their necks.

Ohh you may be understanding a bit. We (and WE are not all "libs") HAVE been paying attention to his trolling and realize that it does do more harm than good.

elections are choices. Trump lost in 2020 (never mind what he claims) because of COVID
He won in 2024 because Joe was a Jackass . corrupt as well.

2028 will depend on what shape the USA's economy . I don't see any good candidates -and it will probably be a Progressive
But if things stink- a Prog Dem can win

It was damaging to Trump and he won in spite of it, not because of it. As for Newsom, his mocking of Trump will excite the trolls in his base but no one else.

Yet somehow, Newsom emulating and trolling Trump will help him. Trump isnt running again, so all Newsoms efforts amount to stimulating his circle jerking leftist base, but nothing more
