GOP. What does the party of law and order tell itself when trump defies a judges orders?

One, agreed with others that Trump ensured Republicans will never be the "party of law and order."

Two, they will move the field goal and claim that anyone getting in their way is "activist" or "globalist" judges. Basically appeal to conspiracy theory to avoid having to admit who they look at as Lord and Ruler is a complete bastardization of the Constitution and any sense of system of laws.

The GOP has had no legitimate claim to being the party of "law and order"since the ford pardoning of "yes you are a crook", Richard Nixon.

When KING-DICTATOR-PRESIDENT TRUMP defies legitimate Court's orders the MAGATS et al will collectively cheer in orgasmic high adore.

SCTOUS held in Ludecke v. Watkins that removals under the Alien Enemies Act are not subject to judicial review. The Executive is not bound by unconstitutional orders issued by a rogue judge.
 
They'll argue that the judge is the one breaking the law and now dare he curb Supreme Leader's unlimited executive reach (of course an argument they would never make, say, went a right wing judge told Biden he couldn't forgive student loan debt). And then they'll minimize the entire violation of people's 5th Amendment rights by saying "SO YOU SUPPORT CRIMINALS AND GANG MEMBERS??" As if that's the point.

Watch. Their playbook is extremely predictable.

Or if your Musk, you say any judge ruling against Trump should be impeached.

Very poor deflection. We have had violent gangs in this country as long as there has been a country, but now we have a president who is becoming a dictator by ignoring the courts completely, something we have never had before.

Just because you SAY you are removing people under the Alien Enemies Act doesn't make it legal.

Either way, the way this administration is going about things, people still have ****ing due process rights. Not that right wingers give a **** about people's rights.

Also, the Alien Enemies Act "authorizes the United States president to restrain, secure, and remove any noncitizen in the United States who was a citizen of a country with which the United States was formally at war."

The United States is not formally at war with either the nation of Venezuela nor Tren de Aragua specifically. This is why it's important to actually know and understand the laws you're citing before you go off supporting fascist nonsense. Not that right wingers actually care about the law, you only cite laws and cases as ex post facto justifications for persecuting the people you hate.

No, because the AEA doesn’t pertain to citizens and there is no dispute about the status of the deportees.
