Don't you live on a government "hand-out" Navy?
No, I earned what I receive...........

Here, here!
(...or is it, "Hear, hear!")
Not sure but I think that any person who has served his country long enough to retire has earned his retirement annuity and anyone who has paid into SS all their life has earned that annuity to....
Prsident Bush ried to pass SS reform but was blocked by the dems........
That happened because the republicans wanted to privatize social security. That is unacceptable. It must remain public and out of the hands of greedy big business scumsuckers.
Blame the republican big business servants who caused the recession.
Their outsourcing American jobs to other countries is to blame. Of course, the banking industry is also very responsible.
Are you still going to love Hussein Obama when he takes away your Tricare and your Medicare?
Nothing but lies and right-wing radio propoganda.

I am not an Obama supporter. That is another misconception some rightwingers have made.

Did you actually READ the proposal to privatize Social Security?
Believe it or not it started when Clinton decl;ared social security in dire straights...they just didnt do anything to fix it.
Bush proposed ALLOWING...not mandating...ALLOWING individuals to INVEST a small percentage of their OWN social security in the same secure markets that congress invests in (you DO of course realize that congress does not GET or PAY social security...they have a seperate account...a much higher yeilding secure investment account).
Without knowing ANYTHING about what was actually proposed, people shrieked and moaned that Bush was privatizing SS. Never happened.
Now...the flip side to that...
What is YOUR option? Social Security IS facing budget shortfalls. We are rapidly approaching the stage were we will be paying in less than what is being taken out of this massive shell game. When that happens...it is ENTIRELY possible that young folks today paying FOR SS recipients wont actually recieve SS. So...what is the answer? If you dont like the concept of allowing individuals to invest from their OWN SS contributions...what would you prefer?
