Republicans are reportedly leaning toward selecting an Arizona sex crimes prosecutor to question the woman testifying at a hearing Thursday on her allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The Washington Post, citing two people familiar with the decision, reported Tuesday that Rachel Mitchell, the sex crimes bureau chief for the Maricopa County Attorney's office in Phoenix, is the likely choice for the hearing.

Sounds like a tough, experienced sex crimes prosecutor. But will she be getting the truth out of Kavenanugh & Ford?

I actually wish they used this tactic more often when having hearings of an investigative nature. Have people who actually know what they are doing do the questioning rather than a bunch of politicians.

Will be hard to get the truth out of a no-show Ford ...

At the very least - the optic of 11 old men interrogating a woman about something tragic that allegedly happened to her. I agree - get two female or younger gentleman lawyers, one representing each party interrogating the alleged victim instead.
